Status: offline 		Who cares what religion people follow?  BDSM doesn't have a required or restricted set of religions.  Besides, Satanism is highly misunderstood, but it's gradually becoming more understood and therefore more accepted.  Just the same as BDSM. Are you upset that the Satanist might give kinksters a bad name, or that kinksters might give Satanists a bad name?

This thread is weirdly timed. Yesterday I saw something, somewhere, about how there used to be a trollish poster hereabouts who was hung up on some kinda belief that all BDSMers were also all Satanists . .. . . So, when I saw this thread I had to peeksie at it to see if this notion had been resurrected . .... . & I'm on the fence as to whether that was the OP's point . ... . .

I'd take issue with the idea that's the "real" Satanism.  It's a fringe of criminals.  Most Satanists I've met have been harmless, if a bit pompous.

Instead you're saying that you're angry and upset about people who demonise you because you're a masochist?

Have I got that right?

Just to make sure this is clear, the OP is not against BDSMers who practise Satanism.  The post was about being angry about being under attack for being a masochist- Satanists was an example of a group who the mainstream think is evil, like the OP is feeling they see him.

As an observation aimed at everyone, now that's sorted out. I'm as snarky as the rest of you.  But I feel that when somebody is feeling vunerable because of being judged for their kink, it's not really the right time to try out our legendary wit and sarcasm.  Less community talk.  More community do.  M'kay?

@fadedshadow:  I can sympathise.  Obviously, being judged and got at because you're a masochist sucks.  But remember that this is them being smallminded and stupid.  It's their problem, certainly not yours.

As a bit of advice for the forum, you're obviously getting a bit worried and flustered by how this thread went.  Take a deep breath and chill.  You'll be fine.  Yeah, you had a bit of a rough ride and caused a bit of confusion.  But we've seen far worse entries on here.  You haven't insulted anybody, told the rest of us how to do BDSM, got into any fights etc.

So no harm done and nothing to worry about.  What I'd suggest you do is either lurk and read threads over the next few days or post in some of the silly games in this forum.  Just until you get your confidence back.  The forum should be fun, not stressful.

@ Everybody

To make this very clear, this post in no way justifies words like "nice really", "cuddly", "big softy" or "heart of gold" being used in conjuction with me.  I'm looking at you Kia!  Try it and I swear I will fucking hunt you down.
