Oh well. Considering that those two will have a hard time finding a place that will let them have at it with live steel, which means they will eather have to stick to practise weapons or fists, why not let them have a go at it? Especially as something good, raising money for charity, will be accomplished at the same time.
Have you ever seen the time running up to a high calibre boxing match? The verbal abuse those two have heaped upon each other here is nothing compared to that.

Now, what it says about those two that it has come to that point is everybodys own conclusion to draw, but I honestly think it could be worse.

For the recorrd, I did not see Michael as the sole instigator as some have portraid. They were both rather passionately about their point of view, and when Leonidas brought up a grudge match, Micheal proposed to at least do it in a way that will bring about something good. Money for charity.
Accusing Michael of being the one who provoked it all seems to be slightly biased. He is, as BitaTruble pointed out, outspoken and passionate when it comes to his views on this livestyle, and I take that everytime above lukewarm indifference.
In my eyes, Leonidas holier-than-you attitude was something that contributed at least as much to the whole desaster. But then, that might be my bias showing.

All in all, men behaving like children, yes. But truly, is that something new or even unexpected?

I am the class mom on occasion at my 3 year old sons school. The toddler class is all boys and tiffs occur. The two boys are moved to neutral corners and distracted for a bit. In time and without prompting, they meet in the middle and once again are accepting of each other.

If the men in question behaved like children, this thread would not exist.

Well, I would contest your dispute.

I have three short guys, and on ocassion they really have it out among themself. And as long as no serious harm is done, I let them have at it. Up until now, I have had only good expiriences with this aproach. It seems to clear the air, and they are friends again afterwards. But then, they are only 5, 6, and 9 years old. (btw, the smallest is the one with the least scruples, so the outcome of those fights is by no means sure).
Oh, and no weapons are allowed, of course.

Sounds like a plan.

But right now he is on a 3 week camping trip in the south of France with a youth group. I miss my oldest baby.

i am sure!! Hubby had the LO overnight on a fishing trip and sheeeeesh...i missed him!!!

It is. It is his second time at camp, and he loves it there. One adventure chases the next.
They have an internet diary that is updated nearly every day, and they also post pictures. At least I can read and see what he is up to. 'Cause, god forbid he would call or write! No time Mum!

But he will come back tired, dirty, stinky, and so very, very happy. It's worth it.

Only 3 years and all of them will be gone for this 3 weeks. I guess I will alternate between sniffling and celebrating.
