We play a lot of online MMORPGs. Right now we are playing Ages of Conan, in the past we played World of Warcraft and I met him playing Star Wars Galaxies. So we are into gaming big time its our favorite past time.

I do a lot of gaming... Lately I've been playing Valkyria Chronicles, Rock Band, and some Stepmania (Same thing as DDR) mostly, and I have at least 10 games I haven't even started yet, more if you count PSN games... Heh.

I sure did. I used to play that with a friend of mine on XBox Live. I was the more 'comical' player. Just about the time a zombie horde would come running toward us, I'd hide in a dark closet, shut the door and say to him "Alright dude, you kill 'em all......and I'm gonna live on."

Then of course there were always those 'fun scary' moments when the tank would show up and we BOTH be running and hiding. Good times.

Yeah. It looks awesome. The only two problems I have are the "time" and the location. They say this one will mostly be set during the day time, so that means no spooky darkness except in buildings. That's a minor issue really....after all, Dawn of the Dead was daytime (mostly).

The other problem -- location -- is that it's set in new orleans. I can't stand that city or even that state. Technically, though, I suppose it could be a positive or a negative. Either negative because I don't like the locale, or positive in that all the zombies we get to mow down are from that locale. It's POV thing, I suppose.

The new orleans map is in the early morning..perhaps that makes up for it....a little lol
I was hoping for big swarms of non running zombies.
I like the old movies where they don't run....

Did someone say video games? That's something I would talk for pages about in my vanilla personality, I can even say it's a part of my highly nerd vanilla ID.

For now, I just want to say I love horror themed games (especially non-commercial ones, which aren't known too much) . Silent Hill 2 is one of my favourite games, I adore its story and atmosphere (and Pyramid Head, lol). Action, adventure, RPG's are my favourite genre (FPS can be added, but I believe FPS shouldn't be a genre itself, because a First Person Shooter game may include variable genres inside), I'm currently addicted to Mount&Blade and Quake Live.

I don't expect much from L4D 2, because didn't the first game have already everything sufficient inside?

Well, daytime can be fine if it's done right. It's more the location I'm not fond of. But I'll get over it.

Also, for zombie-killing fun, don't overlook the zombie mode of Call of Duty: World at War. THAT is fun.

Not really. The first game was a good 'start' to the franchise. It got a lot of things right, but also some things wrong. L4D2 offers a different area, more maps, new 'special' zombies and a bunch of new weapons. And the biggest change is the addition of the new AI. They call it "The Director" and it's a real AI that plays against you. If you're doing crappy, it slacks off. If you're doing great, it throws more at you. If you turn left down at the alley enough times, it will make sure you turn left again into a dead end and a horde of zombies.

They say it's scary good how smart it is.

The original will always hold a special place with me. Especially the time when in the exterior building, I decided I knew exactly which way to go, which took me out of the view of the current "camera" and the moment it changed views, I was in the clutches of a zombie who I had already killed.

Both me and my friend screamed like girls on that one. We still tease each other about it, too.

You name it, we have probably played it. I am not much for first person shooters because I suck at them, but lots of the other ones I like. We have beaten quite a few, and are working on several others.

I always liked White Wolf / WoD / Black Dog games. I actually liked the Table Top games much better that LARP. LARP is fun but there was always to much drama with OOC personal issues, knowledge, and favortisim.
