Status: offline 		Umm... you kind of need to ask the DIQ (Domme in question), as there is no rule book that gives the proper definition of "tribute". As with much of the lifestyle, definitions depend on the parties involved.

I know this isn't what you wanted, but it is the truth.

As far as 'tribute' is concerned, I've started a new thing... If you want my time and attention, you gotta find a way to earn it.  That doesn't mean send me money... although SHOES will get you a lot of attention.  If you want me to write to you, you have to write to me.  If you want to spend time in my Play Room, then you have to help me fix it up.  If all you can offer is sweeping the floor or moving boxes or pushing my lawn mower... that's good enough.  But you don't get to just show up expecting me to dress up in clothes that I bought, in a space that I pay taxes and utilities on and work you over with toys that I purchased when all you have to offer is your ass to beat.  That's not good enough.

There certainly are more male subs than female doms, on the other hand, a lot of female doms have multiple subs and slaves, so it kind of cancels out. I think.

A tribute (from my experience) is more of a gift of homage, often offered during first contact to show adoration and sometimes doubles as a "put your money where your mouth is" gesture of sincerity from a querying submissive or admirer. That's not to say tributes cannot be given repeatedly over a course of time, but simply to underline the idea that they are in fact tributes—gifts intended to show gratitude and respect. To me, a "human atm" is someone who is committed or partially committed to feeding the coffers or spending whims of a dominant Woman. They work to make money so that it may be spent at a dominant Woman's leisure upon herself and her own interests. They are in essence, slaves, even if impersonal and temporary.

Status: offline 		Oh!  My favorite Shoe Fetish sub came to visit tonight.  He agrees with me that I need more shoes!  15 pair is not enough.  And just 9 pairs of boots is a travesty.  Wonder how long it will take him to send me more???  He really enjoyed seeing me in the $250 corset he bought for me.  Yeah - some people do good 'tribute'... others just feed their own kink by sending gifts.

Status: offline 		Considering that two of my subs have given me gifts of special flavored coffee, it's not a total Thread Jack.   Shoes, corsets, corset making hard wear, flowers, dinner, coffee beans, custom made benches, books, DVD's, jewelry, toys....  It's all the same if given from a desire to make me happy.
