I am new to the dom/sub world.  My master has requested that i come up with a unique "submissive act" that will demonstrate my dedication to him.  I am looking for new ideas. Any suggestions are welcome.

There is nothing new under the sun.

If he needs you to 'prove' yourself, then he's bound for failure. There is no ultimate act of submission.
Although being a cynic, I'm betting what he really wants is for you to bring a girlfriend home for him to fuck.

Why?

Here's the thing, a single act is just that. A demonstration is a one time show. It proves nothing and it accomplishes nothing. Also, how are you to submit in a vaccum? If dominance is not exerted somehow, then to what are you to submit? I can be submissive in my general nature and specifically toward a given person, but I cannot submit to air. It is an action which requires there be an object upon which it is done. I understand that the object is your master, but what is the particular piece of his will to which you are submitting in this senario? What I am saying is that this is a relationship and by its very nature works based upon a continued loop of feedback one partner to the other. I think it is great to be able to be proactive in your service and anticipatory of his desires and needs, but you are not a mind reader.

Unique?....

Pay attention to his likes, dislikes, interests, hobbies, career...engage him in conversation, cook, clean for him, show him you love and care for him if that's the type of relationship you have.

I am wondering what kind of time constraints she is looking at though. This is the way to grow a lovely D/s relationship, but I somehow doubt it's what he has in mind. I could be wrong. I've just heard this BS too many times from other chest thumpers.

I read a fictional story once that was about the ultimate and unique submissive act.  To make a long story short the submissive had been in a terrible accident.  She was on full life support and hanging on by a thread.  Her fictional Dom told her she had permission to die, and she did.

I must've missed where the OP said she was "sent" here to ask everyone? Seems to me that asking others is a perfectly logical and reasonable course of action for anyone lacking knowledge and experience, no?

To the OP, firstly, welcome.... :-)

The bad news is that what your master asks smells of red flag territory (geek alarm). Assigning such hopelessly vague and subjective tasks to newbies tends to betray their own lack of knowledge and experience. Which, btw, isn't necessarily a bad thing if they're honest about their own lack of expertise. Though probably not the case with your master, I suspect.... I say so because giving idiotic assignments to inexperienced subs is usually their way of getting educated themselves without having to admit they're as much in the D/s wilderness as you.

Doms and masters (practically by definition) need to lead by deed as much as by command.... Surely he has some idea of what defines a "submissive act" in order prove (sorry, "demonstrate") your "dedication to him"??? Because for every dom/me, it's likely something different. Doesn't he even know what it is that he really wants of his own slave? Yep, lotsa red flags around him....

I'm guessing his next instruction will be to ban you from these Boards - building barriers is how the threatened really command....

if it was this slave's task she would first try to figure out what, specifically, he views as a "submissive act" (by asking him or something) and then attempt to put a unique spin on it.
 
for example, if he sees headstands as a submissive act, this slave would suggest writing a song about him that you could sing while doing a headstand in a charming little costume, like Dorothy's frock in the Wizard of Oz... or something similar.

I am dead serious. I am not trying to pick on you, or be snarky. Go and do something positive with your life that will pump up your self esteem, so that you feel like you deserve a dom who at least knows what to do with you.

Think about it. We're both submissives and we probably both like snowcones, so it's definitely a unique, submissive act.

OK, I get blasted every time I say this but here goes... maybe I'm a closet masochist?

For starters, I don't actually like the whole theory. If I ever start needing the person I'm involved with to demonstrate things to me, I have to assume I've gone blind myself. I'm not a huge believer in tests of one's partner.

That being said, if I asked Carol something like this, I'd be hoping that she looked inside herself and found one previous limit that was maybe looking movable and move it.

It is the gift of yourself. How much more unique and special can you get?
