Buffy. I do not know that many other series. Moonlight, but I was not impressed by that. Angel, but I did not think that to be as good as Buffy.

True Blood
it is damned entertaining

Also the Anita Blake books

and, though not really a series, there is a wonderful book "The world On Blood" By Jonathan Nasaw

Damn there was a really cool one when i was a kid i can't remember the name but there was the head Vamp called Julian and there were like two families one bad and one good. Ya know the problem is they make Vampires so bloody sexy how's a girl supposed to resist? It wasn't on long i forgot what the controvercy of it that got it pulled was but the episodes i saw were pretty cool.

If you like romance type -- The Carpathian serious of Christine Feehan is entertaining -- but its more focused on carpathians instead of vampires.

That's a lot of vampire books they have there. About 20 of them. All dark something or other. I might pick up the first one see what it's like.

It's that whose submission thing that you like. The no escape only surender parts. [;)]

Dark Shadows.  But by today's standards, it's pretty hokey now.

We even had a cat named Barnabas Collins and no our last name isn't Collins (actually the cat's full name was Barnabas Edward Collins, I am not sure where the Edward came from, whether from the show or if my brother just stuck it in there because it sounds good)

Chuckles at Blacksword lol okay okay i admit lol its very yummy the guys are lol. They are Men who are very arrogant and bossy and yummy lol. But also sexy, amusing and fun. Its like the wow i wanna find me one of these lol.

Yes its The Dark Series of Christine Feehan. On an aside her Witches one is good too, the last one even made me cringe and say wholy crap she really took it to a implied extreme with some details ....it took me awhile to get into the genetic mutantation series of hers though but they are good too.

Dark Prince is the first one.

Yeah, they keep trying to get the old magic back, but there was just something about the original....  It was probably because it was new and shocking back in the 60's, whereas now, we're just desensitized.  And no one has the chemistry that Barnabas and Angelique had :)  Hell, when I was 10 years old, I thought she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen and I wanted to be just like her.

Gotta add my votes for Feehan's Dark series and her others too. Love them.

barelynangel, definitely agree on the last book in the Drake sisters series. Whew!

Love the BDB (Black Dagger Brotherhood)!! I have laughed and cried my way through all of them so far and look forward to more.

Lynsay Sands has a very entertainig vampire series. Maggie Shayne has a great one too and Susan Sizemore has two vampire series.

Can you tell I read more than watch tv? lol

Watched Buffy, Angel, Dark Shadows, and Forever Knight.

Be careful what you ask for. [sm=ballchain.gif]

I will try the first one and see if it's worth continuing.

Now to get my damn hot cocoa.

Dark Shadows

Bela Legosi as Dracula in those old movies

the Anne Rice's series, which began with Interview with a Vampire

the Anita Blake series

I have not red some of these others, so thanks! I am always in need of new reading material.

I'm not really into the whole vampire genre though I am enjoying "True Blood." This may interest me quite a bit as well: http://www.fantasysfblog.com/blog/727071

Barelynangel, is this the series you're talking about?:
