The "right" has learned from the "left" many strategies that would have been considered in poor taste previously but are now fair use in today's politics.

Yes, the noble right.

What we should all aspire to.

But refresh my memory, what was that rumor the Bush campaign spread in the South Carolina primary about McCain?

Sorry Willbeur, but " lol, sure we did" and " there was no failure" are not facts.

So let me know when you want to discuss a few.

The mission in Afganistan was to destroy Al Qaida and the Taliban. It isn't a failure. Were just not done over there yet. Finishing things is the one thing Obama has gotten right.

I don't know whether to be happy or scared that we're actually agreeing on something.

Thank you Merc, I'd like nothing better than to meet you in person for some fun times and some serious socializing, and I feel flattered and honored by your offer - but fortunately and unfortunately I have responsibilities at the present time which I can't walk away from, even for a little while the way things sit.

On reflection, I realize that I was wrong, and should have chosen my words more carefully in my preceeding post. I'm sure you do have fun in life, and I'm sure I could take some lessons from you.

My apologies.

Trust me - there is no lack of fun and frolic in my life. I hope you'll one day take me up on my standing invite to you to visit us and join in. The next party on Sept 12th may be a good opportunity!

Shocking!

Post Office Vandalized With Obama 'Joker' Posters

CLERMONT, Fla. -- A vocal and graphic Internet campaign attacking President Barack Obama just hit Central Florida and one of its first targets was a U.S. Post Office (see images). Several Lake County residents called WFTV when they spotted the 'Joker' posters on stop signs and saw workers scraping them off the post office in Clermont.

"He looks so mean, gruesome and evil and this is not something you want to portray your president. Very disrespectful," Clermont resident Charlene Forth told Eyewitness News....

"I've been with the Postal Service for 30 years now," he said. "I've never seen anything this insensitive."

Louve00 -> RE: Obama as "The Joker" (8/13/2009 4:19:51 AM)

Yes, that is troubling.  And I also heard of a man arrested for bringing a knife and a gun to a school that Obama was going to have a conference at.  What bothers me the most about all this is those stupid little peons that go about doing all this ignorant shit truly, honestly believe it to be the right thing to do.  They've been brainwashed, scared, and bullied into thinking by the politicians that know better.  If any of those 'not able to think for themselves' people stopped to realize Palin KNEW there was no such death panel clause in the Health care bill.  That Fred Thompson severely, utterly, and wrongly took advantage of these own people's stupidity to believe anything they hear from an "official", by misquoting the health bill.  (Stupid enough was Thompson to even give the page he was misquoting, so anyone with gumption could look it up and see it was a lie).

It really is sad to see such racial bigotry and wrongful misguidance being doled out to people who just either are too dumb, too lazy, or too misinformed to read and learn and find out for themselves.  And its even more troubling that this guidance and encouragement is coming from people who definitely are educated enough to know the difference, but are putting their agenda's before the good of American people.   It's even sadder that it can't be seen by most.

Sanity -> RE: Obama as "The Joker" (8/13/2009 4:24:49 AM)

Is the SEIU stirring up more trouble? [:D]

That was probably all planted by Democrats, especially judging by the little plastic fern who Obama called on during his carefully orchestrated town hall meeting.

"MEAN SIGNS"   [:(]

Watching the video, it's easy to see that the Democrats sure can use letters and graffiti like that.

Business and campaign controversies

Since 1978, Scott has owned Dayn-Mark Advertising, which places billboards and other forms of advertising in the Atlanta area. Scott's wife, Alfredia, now heads the business.

In May 2007, it was reported that the business owes more than $150,000 in back taxes and penalties.

Scott's campaigns have paid the company more than $500,000 since 2002 for office rent, printing, T-shirts, and other services. He has also paid his wife, two daughters, and son-in-law tens of thousands of dollars for campaign work such as fund raising and canvassing.

In 2007, Scott was named one of the 22 most corrupt members of Congress by the political watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

After it was reported that Congressman Scott had called Dr. Deborah Honeycutt a 'bitch,' Donzella James, Scott's 2008 Democratic Primary Opponent, issued this statement: "[David Scott] has been disrespectful to me and other women in my presence. Even in mixed company, he often makes vulgar references that are less than gentlemanly."

And ...

Healthcare debate

On August 6, 2009, Scott was confronted by a local doctor from his district concerning the debate on health care reform. The doctor, Dr. Brian E. Hill, asked Scott why he was going to vote for a health care plan similar to the plan implemented in Massachusetts "that is shown not to work" and if he supported a government-provided health care insurance option. Scott immediately accused the doctor who lives in Scott's congressional district of disrupting his event and of not being a resident of his district.

Follow-up questioning by local TV station WXIA-TV's news department interviewed the doctor and confirmed that the doctor did live in Scott's district.

Many in attendance at the event, stated that Scott engaged in a rant and accused the other members of the audience of not being residents of the 13th Congressional District. Scott also accused Dr. Hill on not calling Scott's office and setting up a meeting concerning health care. Dr. Hill indicated to WXIA that he did in fact call Scott's office several times for a meeting but was refused.

Interesting stuff.

Just in case I wasn't clear ... I think the odds are that this is a series of fake events, meant to discredit his distractors, gain attention and sympathy, and demonize the opposition.

I could be wrong, but I put the odds of being correct at about 85% based on:

1. Corrupt politician,
2. Owns a media company,
3. Caught by the doctor and embarrassed (negative publicity),
4. Is disrespectful of others himself,
5. Letters don't ring true.

I'll be very interested in the results of "the investigation". I suspect no one will very be "found".

Sanity is spot on.

The tip-off was the far left network that was carrying the water, CNN.

All lies, all the time.

You could have believed it if it had been on FOX.

So, just for clarity's sake.....you think the swastika and the "nigga" letter was also staged?

Lucylastic -> RE: Obama as "The Joker" (8/13/2009 6:27:02 AM)

you mean that repubs/cons/rightwingers wouldnt stoop to such measures?
I dont have that much faith in any party supporters, left or right. But we shall see what we shall see.

Am I utterly certain beyond a shadow of a doubt? No.

Do I think the odds are that it was all staged as part of the Rep's own plan? Yes.
