I have been wondering, however, in reading some other threads on this board... now, aside from the debate of whether you can submit to someone online/phone, if you offer yourself, do you have a right to take it back? I mean, can a sub ever really reclaim themselves? Maybe this is a question for another thread, but it does make me wonder.

Are you still a human being, if you couldnt walk away we would all be with our first partners

Agreed, though that all depends upon what part of the world you live in and what your "partnership" arrangements are. Generally speaking, however, the door is always there. It may be tremendously difficult to walk through it, but unless you serve under a deep form of Stockholm syndrome-like conditioning, the choice to walk away is available. I would reiterate, however, that knowledge of that fact sometimes does little for those who are in emotionally complex situations. Things like "you can leave any time" can seem simple in sterile, disconnected theory, but they don't always work so easily in real life.
