OMG,Well I'm lucky then smokey wants nothing to with water that isn't in dish,Probably because I have squirt guns strategically placed where I know I can get to one fast when need be.And It can get him up to 100 feet away(for those times he thinks he's outsmarting me)or my threats aren't through to that thick skull of his and he decides he's going to test me LMBO.I swear he has a Master complex and truly thinks I should be doing his bidding all the time,it's not enough I feed him ,brush him, clean his poopybox twice a day(which sometimes I need a gas mask to do) this fool will come and get me and want me to change it right then and there because he doesn't like the stinky shit he just took .(figure that one out),and don't get me started on the butt scratching  again..This cat has issues LOL

Nah, Destiny...he's just being a twue kitteh.......my oldest KB is just as bad.......he even wakes me up in the middle of the night just cuz he's bored......he thinks that dinner should be served as soon as I get up in the am, come in the door at any time, or just whenever he wants it.  I have a squirt bottle for the same reason that you have the guns, and if he's feeling pissy, I can squirt him until he's dripping, he'll just continue doing whatever it is he's not 'sposed to be doing!  He is such a pot!

He's even taught all of his bad habits to the younger kittehs, can you believe it?  Fortunately, they are good babies...they see him getting in trouble and decide that maybe it's not such a good idea.  Right now my biggest challenge is stopping KB from opening the hotel room door....it has a lever door handle, and he can stretch out and open it....fortunately, he hasn't quite mastered walking backwards while holding onto the doorknob.  Thank goodness for the lock on top of the door...that at least keeps the door shut enough so they can't get out.  It's been at least 2 years since we'd lived anywhere with those type of knobs.....we were here for a total of 2 hours before I caught him doing it!

LOL, he's a twue something alright.Smokey doesn't wake me up to play because he knows I'll put him out of my room. But he is on his own time schedule as far as eating he thinks anytime your eating he should be toand he thinks when he goes to bed I should to,if we're in the front room he'll start sitting by the tv whining(I hate it when he whines)and when that don't work he come and start head butting my legs. And already said what he does when I'm in here on the computer  .I use to have 5 dogs shih-tzus when he came he use to terrorize the hell out of them,I sleep in a king size water bed and we all slept there one by one he kicked them all out.And not just the bed the bedroom period .As it is now he (lets)me have the edge of the bed and even then he has to be touching me or laying on me somehow and god forbid if I need to move because he's putting my limbs to sleep (will give me the look like what in the heck are you doing and with major attitude). My friends say it's my own fault because I talk to him like he's human, half the time they don't know if I'm talking to them or my animals.I've always been that way though and they never had a problem with it(my animals I mean LOL)and they know what I'm saying, might not be the same language but they know.

And I can relate about the door thing to we went camping in the mountains one time in my friends trailer and the door has the same kind of handle but there is a screen door also that has a metal slot you have to open first I never thought nothing of it we were all sitting by the fire next thing I know the door is open and smokey is taking off to the trees by the water I was so freaked out by the time we found him half of the campsites there were out searching for him trails of catfood and his nummies all over thinking he would see it and come get something to eat. Please ...The little buzzard was to busy having a good ole time. The next day I drove him all the way home and left him there and he hasn't went camping since.(Me and my bright ideas LOL)No wonder he has issues.Good luck with your challenge,it's not like you can just send him to his room, more likely you'll be doing this .

Destiny, my cats are actually leash trained, as are all the kittehs in our family.  I bought them small dog harnesses cuz KB got out of the collars and cat harnesses like in 5 seconds flat.  I do get some funny looks, but at least they can go out and I don't have to worry about them running off.  Of course, walking 4 cats at once is just not doable....they can go in 10 different directions at once!

My parents used to take their cat camping....oh, Annie HATED it, but it was worse if they left her behind.......on Fridays, mom would slowly start to close all the doors to the upstairs, the bathroom, the porch...all the places she could run to......after my dad got home from work, she'd gather Annie up and take her out to the truck....Annie growling all the way.  But once she got there, she decided that it wasn't so bad.  She'd get to crash out in the sun all day, watch the birdies and chipmunks and other stuff.  My dad took a piece of firewood, drilled a hole in it, and ran a length of rope thru it for her leash....they could pick it up and move her around.  I swear, Mom would ask Annie if she was ready to go camping, and you could just hear "OH HELLLLLLLLL NO!!!".

And I have actually "trained" myself to move around them in bed......I don't disturb them, and even move that way in my sleep.  I miss my king sized bed!

I wonder why my cat never eats ALL her food.  She will leave a tad bit left every time.   And ask for more.

She never eats ALL of it.   She wants me to refill it before it is all gone.  She does not over eat- so I go along with her wishes.

My cat Misty is like that.  She has to have her dry food "topped off."  She will complain like she's out of food, but when I go look, the bowl is still about 1/2 full and she just wanted the it filled to the top again, LOL.

Get out of townLeash trained?I need reinforcements just to change his flea collar on a regular basis(unless I want to walk around with scratch marks and bandages from all the bite marks)You go girl.See Smokey doesn't go out unless someone lets him get out(and he does know when someone isn't paying attention and will try and make a break for it LOL).Me he know's better because I'm always packing my pistola if I'm running in and out doing laundry or whatever. My backdoor has a screen in the window so i leave the curtain open and if he's hiding righ there in wait i just blast him and he takes off.Usually if I show him I have it he won't bother as long as it's in plain view to keep him focused. As for the camping thing,I've always had dogs and where I went they went even out in the ocean fishing heck use to have a boat and it was named after one of my dogs lol.I've never been a really big cat person because when I was about ten I spent the night at a friends house that had a cat.(Nobody told me this cat had a game it liked to play when someone went to sleep it would climb up on the foot of the bed then pounce on on their chest or wherever the thing landed)If you're in a dead sleep and something lands hard on your chest normal people go from rem sleep mto Survival mode I flung him off of me so hard it hit the wall and I swear I thought I killed it.Thankfully I only knocked the wind out of the poor little guy but after that I didn't much care for cats...Until Smokey some how he got in my back gate and one of my dogs had him in his mouth when aia was leaving for work one day(Trouble my dog had a thing for catching pigeons and leaving body parts for mme to find yuckers)anyway when i saw it I thought he hada ratso i went and got the broom so when he spit it out it wouldn't run to me LOL.But low and behold it wasa smokey and the rest is history.
LOL as for the bed thing  I've never even had a man that had to be that close to me in the bed the entire night Go figure LOL......Even as we speak we are in the office I'm in one chair he is in another but it's right next to mine and his head is on my knee.I've  never met a cat like him in my life LOL .
Sorry if I Rambled on didn't mean to put anyone to sleep .G'Night.

Then it sounds like a security thing maybe.

I just brought my cat in. She jumped up on the bed and is looking around.

With 5 cats I don't have that problem...if my 4 main cats leave something once in a while then for sure my outdoor cats gets it...

however my critters made clear that they don't put up with the food I used to give...I know they don't like felix cat food...so I used brekkies which they tolerated mostly...however, since a friend of mine once sitted them she spoilt them with posher food and they did show from then onwards their dislike to the normally used food as well...and only ate it kind of "fine, when I HAVE TO."

So by now they get the bloody expensive whiskas...and it is a difference of how much they like it...bloody spoilt little gang I have
