My kittehs have adjusted to the move...better than I have. I went from a gorgeous 2 BR light and airy place to a freaking cave. The kittehs do like that there is a patio door to look out of, and they have plenty to see. I have two little ferals here, not like the ones I left at the old place, these are true ferals, and I leave a bit of food on the patio for them. Imagine the surprise when I looked out the window expecting to se a kitteh eating the food, and it's a RACCOON! Looks like a female one who may have had kits recently, as I can see her teats. She comes out i nthe early evening hours to munch on the food I leave out. No signs of rabies, so as long as she doesn't bother the kittehs, she's good. She came up to the window today, but I was standing there behind Squeaks watching her, so she backed off. The one little feral did show up at the same time, they were at the same pile of food, and while the kitteh hissed at the raccoon, the raccoon's response was absolutely nothing. There is a third feral who shows up at night.....and Squeaks HATES HIS GUTS! The first night we were here, I'd just fallen asleep (of course) and was wakened by this god-awful screaming and shrieking...I thought that Smooch and Squeaks were at it again, but the guys were all sleeping in their spots......I went barreling out to the living room to see all 4 of the guys foofed up and saucer-eyed, and Squeaks is beating on the window and fighting with the outside cat...who is also fighting. Scared the living shit outta us! Took us about an hour to settle back down. And of course, since I'm now back on the puter, I have kittehs all over the place....they couldn't wait to get back up here with me. OY!

She will sit on the window ledge in the master bedroom and if ANY cat dares to venture into HER yard, she lets out the most god awful shrieks and thrusts herself repeatedly against the window. She will sometimes do this in the middle of the night and wake me up from a sound sleep. She sounds like a shrieking banshee. It is hard to believe the sounds she make come from a 5 lb. cat, they're so loud. She doesn't have an issue with any particular cat, she doesn't think ANY cat should come into her yard.

Mystic, it's just the one cat that Squeaks has an issue with. All I can think is that he looks alot like Smooch, who has terrorized her since she came to live with me. She doesn't have that reaction when the other kittehs come by, or the raccoon. All I know is she scares 10 years of life outta me everytime she does it.....and I ain't got that much left! [:D]

Just discovered another of Angel's unusual tastes tonight. I was eating tuna salad on crackers, and of course both cats were begging for the tuna. Afterward, I was eating fresh orange sections and they were both continuing to beg. I figured I give them each a tidbit, they'd turn their noses up at it, and go away. Angel surprised me by eating her fresh orange tidbit, then eating Misty's, and even asking for another one. Misty looked at Angel like she was out of her freaking mind.

FR My cat does its utmost not to exist. It is successful. It must be because I am slightly drunk. I do not own a cat. I think that I had best go sleep a couple of hours.

Mystic, Bit loves canned peaches! He'd probably eat the fresh ones too if I could find any good ones! If I have some, he'll come up and try to snatch one out of the bowl.....he'd succeed a lot more if he wouldn't be bothered by the juice. His paw gets wet, and then he proceeds to shake it all over, which is always nice...NOT! So, in order to eat mine in peace, I cut up a piece and put it on his plate....but he eats so fast that he's right back for more in less than a minute! You'd think that he had to fight for food as a kitten or something, the way he wolfs it down. And when he finishes his, he goes and gets the rest of it. Little Piggy!

The Rat Patrol are scattered through the house on the lookout for snacks and the occasional field mouse that sneaks in--when you live in the woods, at least one of your cats needs to be a good mouser!

Wow, interesting what cats will eat. Tomato sauce, canned peaches, fresh orange slices. I had a cat several years ago that liked asparagus and green beans, but my current cats haven't expressed an interest in any veggies so far (unless they're buttered, in which case they will lick off the butter and leave the veggies).

I was awakened by blood-curdling shrieks out of Misty this morning. Some neighborhood cat had the audacity to venture into "her" yard while she was on the window ledge enjoying the morning sunshine.

CAshie is terrorizing AMos, and disdaining the squirt bottle. later, when I am asleep, he will wake me up anywhere from 20-40 mins. before my alarm is due to go off by purring in my ear, tickling my face with his whiskers, and paw-tapping my face. fucker.

The final straw to 'bedroom' cats was having Turi' (boy Mau) piss on my feet when I wouldnt get up to re-fill his half empty food bowl at 5am. The door stays shut now, no matter how much they may wail or claw at the carpet.

Angel was driving me crazy earlier. She'd cry to come in, I'd go open the door, and then she's just sit there. Guess she was enjoying jerking my chain. She finally did come in before I left for my lunch date.
