Misty is hiding in the closet to avoid me.  She hasn't forgiven me yet for taking her to the vet this morning.  Fortunately, her vet vist went MUCH better than Lily's did.  She didn't express any aggression toward either the male vet tech or the male veterinarian.  She did wail loudly during the car trips to and from the vet's office, in the waiting room, and during her exam.  People couldn't believe such a small cat could make so much noise.

I'm worried about Gabriel. He's quite listless today as he was last night, all he does is sleep. Thank goodness he's drinking and eating, not much, but some is still a good sign. He didn't want to go outside!!! Something is up...I'll continue to monitor him and if he doesn't improve by Monday, off to the Vet we go. He's only 2 years old and is usually driving me nuts asking for lovies.

Fitzroy is listening to me do phone domination and sleeping on my pillow. When I pet him he yells at me over and over for waking him up and then goes back to sleep. It's pretty obvious who's really in charge here....

Boo is curled up with my dog Ace and they are both laying in front of the patio door. Trouble is sleeping on the ferret cage. Lol

To the vet on Monday Gabriel goes...He has a 104 fever under his front leg. The vet told me to give him some baby aspirin and monitor if he eats and drinks. He does eat and drink, but baby boy may need some other meds. Poor baby, all he does is sleep.  I dreamt about Gabriel before I got him, so he absolutely has to live till he's 20+..pfft. I'm in love with a cat....arrgghhh, Have I become a cat lady?

lol

The vet recommended Laxatone to help with Misty's hairball problem.  It's supposed to be tuna-flavored, but you wouldn't know it by her reaction.  I'm supposed to give her 1/2 to 1 tsp. for two or three days, then that same amount a couple of times a week.  The vet said to just open her mouth and smear it behind her teeth and she'll swallow it.  Well, she did, but sure didn't look happy about it!

I have a cat (trouble) that has decided he would rather be outside than inside. He sneaks out and has stopped using the litter box since moving to this apartment. I admit I have started letting him out but I dont want him to be an outside cat but I can't have him destorying the carpet. -sighs- He is currently sleeping on the patio chair.

Boo is curled up next to my daughter sleeping.

A new cat started showing up on my doorstep yesterday and has decided he would like to become a member of my household.  He snuck in my house today when I returned from getting the mail.  Fortunately, I saw him and got him out of the house before Lily woke up from her nap.  Otherwise, I would have had World War III on my hands.

$407.00 (dollars) later, Gabriel is perched on top of his scratching post having declined the bowl of distilled water with ice cubes. harumph!

He had a fever of 104.5, the vet ran some tests(blood, urine, etc.)  No clue why he has a fever, but the $56 antibiotic shot that lasts 2 weeks should help. They hydrated him and gave him some other meds.

Note from vet. Keep him inside for a long while. My neighbor has been feeding a mama cat and her 5 kittens, and 3 stray cats. Starting to look like Dr. Dolittle's cat farm outside. None of these strays are inoculated. Anyhoo, Mama-me is still getting over the vet bill...going to rest for a bit.

Chloe kitty is drinking water after howling at the hamster in his plastic ball while I cleaned his cage.  Apparently she needs to rehydrate after meowing like a freak for the past 20 minutes at a small rodent in a plastic ball, bonking around the hallway.

it may be that he is protesting the move.  it may also be kidney issues.  Vet SOONEST.

He just jumped up and ordered the cat door to open by meowing at it sternly. Hasn't figured it out in three years.

Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, this one, but he's very sweet.

(The cats have a "screened porch"...it is framed with wood, covered with chicken wire and then screen, and projects from the window about as far as an air conditioner would. There is an insulated panel that fits in the window that has a cat door in it to allow for access.)

The new white cat that has started showing up is dividing his time between my neighbor's porch and my porch, trying to get into both of our houses at every opportunity.  It camps out on the neighbor's porch, but as soon as it hears my door open, it makes a beeline for my porch, begging for food and attention.

I put a "kitty found" ad in my local paper to try to locate the owner of the new white cat that has been hanging around.  She doesn't act like a stray at all, but like a cat who has wandered away from her home.  Very friendly and loving and obviously misses human companionship.  Hope whoever owns her claims her.

He has been to the vet, they ran tons of test to tell me he was protesting the move. That he would adjust in time. However, he has since become agressive towards the other animals.

She's laying on my legs so I can't move.

My body will start to ache soon and I'll have to move.

In my old age I've found I fidget a lot.
