Curry came home finally, but was carrying a mouse

Sadly it was dead, so there was nothing I could do, however I made him to go outside again as I don't want to see again how he chews it

(had that one already once before and really did not like seeing that view).

Soon after he was out he demanded to come in again, only to vomit soon later out that mouse again

So I cleared up that mouse into the toilet

Seems he rushed that mouse down far too quick

Gnocchi is sleeping on her sheepskin pad...She has been sleeping more than normal lately (and that is saying a lot!) as it has been so cold and foggy here lately and it makes us both want to hibernate!

She (Tabitha) is against me: sleeping and dreaming, her paws are all twitchy. When she isn't sleeping like this she is often perched upon my right shoulder.

My cat(s) - either summer or her son urmel or both - appear to peeing on the bottom of my bed (the mattress) since I try to introduce to them my new cat litter....which is basically the wooden stuff you use for rabbits and guinnea pigs...I used to use it in the past for my cats and liked the fact that it was cheaper, lighter and smelled less when it was being used than that stuff...but it appears my birmans ain't having any of it

Lily and Angel are enjoying the treats they just received for being such good girls.  They were lying in the sun just a few feet apart with no tension.  Usually Lily refuses to be in the same room with Angel, or else glares at her.

today I had to encourage my beggar cat herby not to eat from my cats food (i thought he would be homeless, but once I took him in and then he was missed 4 days later....so I know by now he HAS food) as I have only 1 tin left and can't find my tin opener to give them at least tuna as alternative. to scare him off is easy, just have to move my leg and off he runs, though had to do it a few times today until he gave up. Soon later my boys came and ate from it, so they had a portion now

apart from that pepper, summer and Urmel Ash are lying on the sofa

Lily is now in the corner pouting because she saw Angel jump up into my lap and I petted her.  She is so jealous of her!

I even called Lily over to give her some attention and she looked directly at me and ignored me, as a sign of protest, no doubt.

Phoenix, is it on top of the mattress or the sides?  If it's on the sides, I'd look at Urmel...sounds like he's spraying and needs to be neutered....if you haven't already.  Altho, KB is neutered, and he sprays occasionally.  I try to catch him doing it, but he's a sneaky little bugger.  The other two boys go thru the motions, but don't actually spray.  He usually does it when the boys start ganging upon Squeaks.....or if he's pissed at me for something I did or didn't do......

Urmel Ash is just 10.5 weeks old....a lil bit early for neutering...but it is peeing on my mattress and right now I just remember that summer (urmels mum) did that when she peed on my sofa on purpose when I took away 2 snails as her snack on one day when she was pregnant...so it could even be her, today in the morning she was partially sitting in it and did not even mind

so maybe...to try to get them used to my preferred cat litter ain't going to work But I am not giving up yet Today I catched Urmel when he wanted to poo underneath my sink following which I grabbed him and moved him onto the litter box...I seriously do know by now why the saying is out there that Birmans certainly have damn attitude...at last someone in my household who is worse than me

A few months have gone by, so Lily had to retest a rule today to make sure it still stood.  She has been trained not to jump up on my work table when I'm working and hasn't done so in probably three months, but had to test the rule today to see if it was still in force (it was).

I was making a poster this evening for an event tomorrow, and Lily and
Angel were both ever so helpful.  They just had to jump up and get in the way just as I was ready to glue a sheet to the poster board.  They also had a good time batting sheets of paper to the floor, then jumping on them.  Somehow, I managed to get the poster made, and not because of their generous "help".

oh yeah, cats are so helpful......mine "help" me make my bed, especially when the sheets are fresh from the warm dryer.  They help me clean off my counters, too...by pushing everything on them onto the floor.  And then of course, they also help me read.......one of theses days, they will realize they make better doors than they do windows!

Angel wasn't so angelic today.  I caught her stalking Lily, then jumping her.  I usually blame Lily for their altercations but you have to watch the sweet and  innocent ones.

yep, and they help me to be more disciplined to be actually bothered to put my landry away after taking it out of the dryer...because if I don't they pee into it

Urmel is sitting on my chest and he is incredible purry today...am wondering if he discovered that ability now in the last two days and wants to keep showing off to me about it...time to go to bed with that fellow even when I know he will pee again in my bed

time to get back to the old litter material with him

spicy just came in (thank goodness) as I was concerned that he might not come for a few days as he knows something is going on (I was about to take him with me to my new place on saturday but then let him out, and he did realised that curry and pepper were boxed and carried away). He was vet as a flannel when he came in...

summer is relaxing on the sofa, telling urmel off on a regular basis when he tries to still get milk from her....he is now 12 weeks old, no need for her to let him suck anymore if she does not wish to do so....bless her

Speaking of Birmans, here is my Princess Yazmine, who now has a permanent resting place in the orchard after being my beautiful girl for almost 14 years...

I was just laughing to myself as I looked a this picture again, she looks so fat here, but she was really very skinny, which was very evident whenever she got a bath! She would look like a drowned water rat, and she HATED to be laughed at!

Birmans and Himalayans are notably erm...psychotic? spoiled?

Yaz was very spoiled, and yet also extremely intelligent. Just watch out for strokes and neurological problems. Yaz had a stroke in her 12th year, and yet she mostly recovered and lived another 20 months.

We also had her brother until his death, he only made it to 12.5 years. If they make it 12 years, they have done pretty well.

And what are my other kittehs doing right now? Spuddy is at my feet, and Hobbes is trying his hardest NOT to notice that Spud is closer to me than he is. Ah! He just closed the distance! Spud is 18 inches away, and Hobbes is now 4 inches away!

My 'cats', not sure they actually qualify for that moniker yet! are asleep in their basket.
They are 10 days old and being hand reared by my best friend and me.
We rescued them from their owners who were going to drown them... wouldn't even wait for them to get to 8 weeks old and hand them into the rspca. They were mere hours old when we took them, and so far all 4 are thriving and healthy.
They are so beautiful and already have their own unique little personalities
