I found a new way to convince my Birman summer that it isn't a good idea to let me chase her up- and downstairs in the hallway to catch her again, when she managed to sneak into the hallway...a game from her I truly dislike and I can't just leave her there as I don't want to freak out the other folks in this house when they get a scare from her due to coming in or going out and not knowing that she is in the hallway (happened once recently when one guy came home and my 2 boys were still in the hallway...)

So I used the water pistol today and she wasn't smart enough that if she would go around the corner upstairs, that I can't reach her, no matter how hard I try...and so she was desperate to get back inside

Lily wasn't doing well on dry food, so I switched her over to canned.  She's doing much better and eating more.  Naturally, since I feed Angel at the same station, it's impossible to give Lily wet food without giving Angel some, though she has a cast iron stomach and certainly doesn't have any digestive woes.  She polishes off the portion I give her and then goes over and finishes Lily's leftovers, in addition to eating dry food in between.

Now both of them are spoiled.  When I walk into the kitchen and open a can of anything, they're both right there begging.

I know the feeling, Mystic....I have an old fashioned hand crank can opener, and I swear, all I have to do is open the drawer I keep it in and I'm surrounded!  Even if they've just eaten, they are right there, johnny on the spot!  They meet me at the door when I get home, KB will flat out just wake me up when he's hungry, but the other 3 are right there too.

Wait until they stop eating certain kinds of food and you have to search for what they will eat......mine will only eat certain kinds of Friskies, but thy are starting to NOT eat those.  Time to rotate to the Fancy Feast......$$OW$$!!  But at least I'll know they will eat it and not end up leaving it to dry out on the plates.  Or it getting fed to my little strays outside.

One solution for the snarfing of the other's food is that I feed up higher than the piggy eats at.  At least that way, I know that everyone got some food.  And I still keep the dry down, Boo and Squeaks will often eat that instead of the canned...if it's not up to their standards that day!

Curry was pissed when I went to bed as he wanted to lie next to me and realised that on my left side was Urmel already and on my right side spicy....you could really see in his lil face, how annoyed he was

Now curry is outside and spicy would like to go outside but he won't go anywhere...he remains grounded with his injury on his paw

Lily has found a new hideaway, but it's going to be a temporary one.  I took down an old oil painting that didn't go with the new sofa and have it leaning at a slant against the wall.  Lily now likes to hide in the space between the painting and the wall.  Unfortunately for her, I'll be taking that old painting out to the garage soon and she'll be losing her hideway.

Bubby is currently sleeping, all curled up, in a giant shoe box on the couch, next to Thing 2.

Making it very difficult to type, by laying on my chest/stomach and arms, and getting in my face nonstop. I guess if I have time to pay attention to this silly chunk of plastic, then I have time to pay attention to her.

mine are arguing about who can sleep in my suitcase which is ready for next thursday...or at least partially ready...my 2 birmans as well as curry like to disagree on whose turn it is apart from the fact that all three of them would find space in there

last night peper was lieng in it which I had not realised until she all of a sudden lifted up the lit and looked out of it again...

in general, spicy and pepper are way more flexible in sleeping at other spots instead.

Urmel developed the rather annoying habbit to bite me into my waist He did this now on a number of occasions, if my top didn't cover completely my top due to relaxing on the sofa

um, Phoenix....NO!!!!  You can keep your picky eater on your side of hte pnd....one is enough here!  KB is skinny too, he lost some weight for some reason, and it's like his metabolism has sky rocketed.  He's got a vet visit coming up when the income tax refund hits.....hopefully, it's something simple.  He's fine otherwise, still runs around like an idjit, no change in his habits or cleanliness, just that he's all skinny now.  Course, he always ate like a horse anyway.

But some cats are just made that way....the one we had when I was a kid was really thin.....like cheetah thin, but she ate just fine.  They have different metabolism rates just like humans do.

Greedy, at least your two will TRY to play with their toy.....I bought a thing that has and arm that spins under a canvas cover with a feather on the end....it took KB all of 7 seconds to realize that if he stands on the arm, it will stop.  I put it down on the floor, turned it on, he did his trick and looked up as if to say "Yeah, now what?  ENTERTAIN ME, MOM!"  But Boo is learning to fetch......he snapped the little fishy off the end of the string on his pole thingy, and if I throw it, he will bring it back....MOST of the time......his idea of fetch is that I do the fetching!  The others tried to play with the fishin' pole too, but Boo can snag the thing right out of the air and then he tries to take off with the thing, pole and all!  The others don't even try anymore!

This just made me laugh......I don't know about your baby, but when mine goes for the "center", she really means DEAD CENTER.......at least I have a king sized bed now, so there's actually still room for me on MY bed!

Really, it's theirs, they just let me use it........  If they ever develop opposable thumbs, I'm toast!

I took down an old oil painting

I'll be taking that old painting out to the garage soon

Ahem, if it happens to be a fifteenth century painting of Columbus, I might have a space for it on my wall...

Sorry, it was a painting done by my sister in the '90's that matches the old color scheme in my living room.
