Do people think it's possible to have an instant connection with somebody as soon as you start talking?  I know it's different for different people, but I've certainly met people who it feels like i've known them longer than my closest friends.  Is this real or illusionary?

I do, I think that you can have chemistry very quickly and that whole 'feeling you have known someone for years' thing is genuine and really intense. Well I can certainly relate to it anyways.

It is very real to me and the reason behind it is part of my belief in reincarnation.

Yes, absolutely. But finding one in the right circumstances to come together can be a bit of a challenge.

I never believed it possible until I met MasterK. Now I'm a convert. I felt an instant connection with him and it only keeps growing stronger.

There are certainly people that I am predisposed to like before even they open thier mouth. I suspect a combination of visual and olfactory messages involving things like posture, stance, etc. (as opposed to how much of a hottie they are). Then there's Carol, whom I found quite displeasing until we actually did get a chance to talk. But when we did get a chance to talk, it was pretty much like north and south poles of magnets.... *CLICK*

It's very real.  The feeling of a connection or kinship that can't be broken or erased, no matter the distance.

I've felt I had stuff in common with someone online but never felt an instant connection. I think many times we build up something in our heads from words on a screen but for me until I meet someone in person, face to face, I take it simply as words on a screen.

Ma'am's slave doesn't know about "as soon as you start talking" but he does know that She's owned him body, mind and soul since the first minute he met Her, Face to face.

As most of the replies have been from the ladies, and agree with your post, I'm a little sceptical as to the "results" BUT ..... From My own experience, and I'm Male !! lol ...... I would have to agree with the post and the ladies.

I wouldn't have done though had it not been for the lady I'm now with. We DEFINATELY had a "connection" on first meet, which only grew each time after that. So much so that when My relationship (Vanilla) with another ended .... The feeling just got stronger and stronger for U/us, so much so that a month or so later I did something COMPLETELY out of character for Me, I went for "another Man's girl" !!
She must have thought the same as W/we are now together and feeling VERY strong, and only after a month or so, W/we are anticipating each others needs without conversation. So I have to agree with the initial poster.

Yes and yes it is real...much in the same manner you'd met a person and instinctively have a dislike towards them for no apparent reason.

Are you talking only online or can this refer to in person also?

I felt an instant connection with my late husband, the minute I saw him for the first time.

I think it happens in all facets of life .. online, real life, friends, business relationships, lovers, partners, etc. Just as the opposite is true as well (leadership has mentioned this with Carol) - an almost dislike until you get to know the other person.

Yes, this is absolutely real. The first words my Owner ever spoke out loud to me, captured me. I can remember them still, perfectly crystalline clear in my mind, even ten years later.

I have also had friends that as soon as I was introduced to them, I knew that they were special folk, that I would be very close to. (I've also had some surprises - folks I had no idea that I would come to love and treasure and value. They sorta ninja'd their way into my heart.)

Yes. This is how it was with my partner. We may as well have known each other before birth. The connection was unbelievably strong and, when the time came, we realize it was also quite real and not at all some illusion. I think we both were at least a little concerned that it would prove to be all smoke and mirrors. I know I was at least. I even half considered not meeting him real time because of this overwhelming fear that it was all just our imaginations and the kind of loss I would feel from it. I am so glad I went forward after all. I would have missed something very special.

Okay, don't anyone go telling him I got all gushy! LOL
