Personally, I think far too much credit for intelligence is given to dominants. I'm not saying that many are intelligent beings, just that they aren't more intelligent than any other man. Too often, dominants are presented as the "all knowing, all powerful" with the answers to all of life's problems just waiting to bestow their wisdom on the poor unintelligent, unorganized, unable to make cognizant decision submissives. Anyone with the desire to learn can be taught how to properly use a whip or paddle, taught how to tie knots safely and properly. It's the connection that has developed between the people involved that makes it work. It doesn't make dominant men "better" or more "intelligent." It is the fact that within this lifestyle, the relationships that work are between people who have taken a lot more time getting to know each other and developing the trust that in vanilla relationships tends to come over time as the relationship develops. Within the lifestyle, there are those aspects where smart people do not move forward until that trust has developed. As for those who think that vanilla men don't think about their partners nearly as much....I'm sorry that you dated such crappy vanilla guys, but there are more than just a few who DO think about their partners, apparently you just didn't meet them.
