I viewed My design, having a new tattoo for My 40th in September.

It is a beautiful lillies design, will be from My buttock all the way to inside My thigh, and it will take 2 three hour sittings, the size of it.

It will align just above My leather thigh boots tops too.

Cant wait [:D]

While all that is fun when you're young and adventuresome - ie stupid - it sucks when you grow up and try to get a job in the 'real' world and find out no one will give you a white collar job when you have "SLUT" tattooed on your throat. (Yes.  I've seen that one.  As well as "Playa" and "Gangsta")

To say nothing of when the tattoo of the really hot female on your upper arm starts sagging along with you.

My gran had her last tat done when she was in her 60s and she never stopped loving them even if she did get saggy skin.

I agree Jazz, it all depends if you blessed with good genes too. My Mum looks amazing at 62, even My GrandMother too, also My Father :)

My Mum's tattoo looks as good as it did 10 years ago, thankygod I am lucky hehe

Yep, good genes and firm flesh is certainly a bonus but like lilly says, so long as they have a meaning then that meaning remains with us. It doesn't diminish just because one grows old.

Look forward to seeing your tats [;)]

As something of a connoisseur, what would you think of a large "SHE" over the word 'me' in much smaller letters?

It's a bit crap, isn't it?  I shall have to wait for my Muse to speak to me.

Then again, you have to search for a good tattooist.  I met an Aussie once who'd had a huge 'lion' done on his upper arm that actually looked like a pissed wombat.

Haha, I am really lucky actually with mine he is a bloody brilliant artist and his ink is far better than any of the stuff I have had done before. It is a case of being really careful though as you say

MsStarlett -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/11/2009 3:38:24 AM)

*giggle*  I'm so glad everyone with a tattoo didn't immediately jump all over me with both feet.  Let's face it.  I'm 47, that makes me Old School by definition.  When I was growing up, only bikers and sailor got tats.  Women NEVER got them!

While most rebellious fads like bell bottom jeans and mullets come and go quietly into the night... I worry about these 18-21 year olds who cover themselves with ink as soon as it's legal in their state.  My own niece has three tats in places covered by a short sleeved T-shirt... but one is on her forearm and she has to wear long sleeves or a bandaid over it at work in an upscale coffee shop.  I sell professional grade theatrical makeup at work.  I have people coming in all the time trying to find some way to cover up tats for formal occations.  One bride had a big dragon on her chest that didn't really 'go' with her wedding dress, or the female lawyer with a ying/yang on her ankle who was starting to feel like Hillary Clinton in her pants suits in court all the time.  Or the fashion model who got passed over for a swimsuit shoot because of her 'tramp stamp'... and got PISSED because the photographer called that.

I'm old.  I've seen a lot of people living with regret.  I worry about people doing body mods that can't be removed.  Tattooing someone else's name on your body just doesn't sound like a good idea.  I would hate to have a relationship end and have that person resent me even more because of it.  But that's just me.  Y'all are going to do what you want.

I still want to know if a domme would consider getting the name of her sub tattooed on her jacksie.

MsStarlett -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/11/2009 5:22:42 AM)

Jacksie?

Khyber.

Taggerung -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/11/2009 8:25:04 AM)

Personally, I have a few tattoos. They are parts of my life and remind me of the things I value. I have a dragon on my thigh for strength, a musical heart on my foot for beauty, and a Fluer De Lys on my ankle for honor and integrity.
That being said, I would never get someone's name or encourage them to get my name tattooed on their body. We might both get tattoos that remind us of each other but, not in a way that it would interfer with our lives should we ever part.

Ms. Starlette, I understand. A lot of people don't realize forever means forever. It is something you should consider and pick something you aern't going to regret later. Unfortantly, most of my peers do not understand that plan for the future thing and I have seen some horrible tattoos. The stupid part of it is they think they are so cool and so bad a** and I'm like will you be thinking that when your mother sees it? All of my tatts are small and easily covered in the real world and when the need arises, I can hide the one on my ankle fairly easily. I would rather not but, I can.

Alternatively Harris, in London.

Did you know that here in Bristol, nobody knows what 'bristols' are?  Odd.

SweetNika -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/11/2009 12:58:20 PM)

I have my former owners mark as a back peice (a phoenix tattoo). It wasn't a light decision for either of us and now that we are no longer together I can honestly say I don't regret it. It is a beautiful reminder of a beautiful and memorable part of my life.

subinchico -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/12/2009 6:38:28 AM)

I know I want more scars on my skin from powerful females!
But has any addressed the OP to post images of theirs??

VanIsleKnight -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/12/2009 4:13:16 PM)

My friend Tae loved the body art we did for her, including a full-out declaration of submission in a difficult to translate language on her back, as well as a few other various additions.  I liked the declaration the most though, obviously. :)

NovelApproach -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/13/2009 5:46:57 PM)

I find the thought of having Kitty's name on my foot or ass rather distasteful and to be honest, such a mark would be very out-of-character for our particular dynamic.  We have, however, discussed having the image of a leather master's ring tattooed onto my finger in place of wedding jewelry if and when we decide to make this relationship a definite forever commitment with all the legal trimmings.  In the meantime, we're considering getting a set of matching Eberron Dragonmark tattoos.

shadowowl -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/13/2009 8:25:22 PM)

I had a tattoo of someone that caged my heart once lol though it's gone now had it covered up :P   Had her signiture tattoo'd on me though things didn't work out obviously and had another tattoo placed over top of it.  live and learn I suppose.   I would do it again though for the right Domme but would definiltly need to be a solid relationship before that.  Actually i really hope to do it again and next time I wont be young and stupid teenager lol.

LadySorrow -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/14/2009 11:03:55 AM)

I love the idea of tattooing a slave (not personally doing the tattooing of course) but not with my name but more a symbol of the bond.

lilsubrt -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/15/2009 10:40:29 AM)

Hello Again to All,

Goddess has said She does not Wish Her Property to be, " Marked ", in the sense that is being discussed here. She however knows his proclivity to demonstrate his Pride in Her Ownership and teases him with it, leaving him in quivering anticipation for days over Her Decisions. We are both Huge hockey fans and he found himself on the wrong side of a playoff series and went too far rooting against Her team. She had him on pins and needles thinking about getting a team tattoo of Her team that was to be displayed, " Where Everyone Can See It ", and no She never did have him get it.
Her slave would like to say Thank You to MsStarlett for Her Dog tag idea, he will propose that to Goddess today !!!!!!

Thank You and Hope All Are Well,
    lilsubrt
