Status: offline 		who else out there is a fan of the show?? i love Sookie and i wanna go and do dirty things to Bill... but i really like the show.. its fun and it has vampires! I'm gonna start buying the books its based on.

Status: offline 		well the show is a guilty pleasure for me. i do like the books though. and i dont want to spoil anything for you but the show is very very very very very loosely based on the books.

I love the show though.  They absolutely cast it perfectly.

Status: offline 		I actually read all 10 books before I got the first season on dvd.  There are some similarities to the books, but yeah, I have to agree that the writers are playing sort of fast and loose with the characters and the plots.  Amy from the 1st season doesn't even appear anywhere in the books, actually I thought it was another character named Amelia...my bad.  And it's not Jason that gets tied up with the religious fanatics.....not too thrilled about that plot twist.  And Bill never made another vamp.....that's really going to screw things up!

But yeah...I love the series, and the books are great.....I like the humorous elements in them, and the character development in the books.  I've re-read them probably about 3 times, and watch the series alot.  Right now I'm waiting for a friend of mine to get it off her TiVo for me, so I can watch the second season!

Status: offline 		I agree, Godric should not have died. He was a fantastic and fascinating character. I have to admit I felt angry when they killed him off. A part of me hopes that he will get his own show because I think his past would be fantastic to explore.

I still want Erik on my leash....

Status: offline 		True Blood rocks!So does the Twillight sagas, cant wait for new moon to come out and see how close to the book it really is. HBO and Showtime have some rocking shows, from true blood to weeds, nurse jackie, hung, bill Marh , and soon united states of tara will be back
