Congratulations Jean.
Now You better understand the saying:
There cannot be equal rights till their is justice.
This whole sinario unfortunatly is not about Alternate Lifestyles
at all. Its about abuse between two people who happen to be Lifestylers
thats all.
How many signed contracts of varing kinds from folks such as prenups and
business agreements are in failed relationships due to abuse that still
gain protection in that state ?
I think I would look into fighting such actions all the way to the supreme court
If You could find enough cases where there were contracts signed and protection
was still granted. As for the Uncontrolled Sadistic Abuser, There are many signs
to this kind of personality that are very plain if One only opens their eyes befor their
hearts and take the time to read them. After 20 years of being in the BDSM community
as a Dominant Im surprised that You so easily fell under this Mans charming side Jean
but Im glad to hear You are still a part of the living. If You ever have the need to run again
theres a Alternate Lifestyle safehouse in the South I can refer You to. Im sorry for Your
love loss. Be sure and take time to greive such for Yourself Jean. I hear a whole lot of
hostility and anguish in You still.

I had been through 4 years of marriage to an abusive ex-husband with the last two being a roller coaster ride to hell.  The ride was finished when he was sitting close to me in a car, pulled a .357 handgun, cocked the trigger and threaten to blow my f...in brains out.

Before that incident, he was an emotionally abusive, insecure man who showed no respect for me and could not even spend quality time with his children because he loved the bottle so much.  To this day, I hate Captain Morgan and I don't take face slapping very well because this reminds me of my ex husband.

My ex was also an expert for manipulating situations by justifying his actions and blaming the other party for his faults.

It has been 8 years since I divorced myself from this individual and upon securing my maiden name, I am blessed.  I have no contact with him and he has no contact with me, which is fine because I am free from this abuse that could have lasted for years and with terrible consequences.

Jean, I am not judging you because I have been there and I hope you do get that order of protection.  If you can seek other help through a victim's advocate or contact a domestic violence shelter in your neighborhood, perhaps they can help you with legal advice.

I hope you find happiness and a healthy life.

I do agree with you Gravinaux because it has happened to some women.  Mine was the exception to the rule because I worked at a law enforcement agency and my ex knew the score but I was very careful about my surroundings.

It was also helpful that my ex was in the county jail for six months.  Fortunately, my town had a judge who did not take too well for domestic violence abusers.  That amount of time in jail can really change someone very quickly.
