I have been on line way, way, way, too long and know it time to move too real life, I have 100 questions who what where how why? I have ones I can ask THANK GOD! I know a lot and I know I have a lot to learn, so how do I learn, by asking and then by doing! can I lean by doing ya, it is smart to ask, OH HELL YA! when things we do in BDSM can lead to putting some one in to the holptole or kill them.. the better questions is what the hell would I not ask?

so I ask you is it wrong to ask?

my vote is no!

I agree, it is better to ask, but as I said in response to your other post, it is about what you choose to ask and how you frame it.

For example this thread is aggressive and confrontational, you will get responses that reflect that, same with questions.

A peaceful and open demeanour will go a long way in learning anything you wish to know. I know it can all be frustrating, but learning to self control and skill to handle it with grace is something that will serve you well once you have crossed over into real time and have a living breathing person affected by your every word, action, and mood. All my best and you learn and grow! Don't give up!

There is no shortage of newbies asking questions.  And no shortage of people replying.

The thing is to ask your question clearly, knowing what information you seek. Unclear questions that are open to interpretation tend to get answers that are slanted towards the negative or silly.

Glad you asked!!

I’ve seen just as many questions from ‘experienced’ participants that would qualify as ‘stupid’ by their own standards, as I have from those who are new.

Ask away!!

p.s. The OP was not belligerent.

No, it is not wrong to ask. Some of the elders will belittle you for asking but pay them no mind. They cannot teach you anything except to be just like them.

Well, you've "hit upon" one of My "passions" !!

To those that may reply to a question ....... "OMG, don't you know that?" and other such derogatories, I say "shut up you ignorant ****s" !!

No, it's not wrong to ask. No, questions from beginners are not stupid.

The fact that some posters here like to make it their life's work to be snarky doesn't change the fact that this is a public forum intended for discourse on the topic of BDSM. As such, questions relevant to BDSM are all appropriate. If someone thinks the thread/question is stupid, then they have the option of not responding -- something I do frequently.

No, it's not wrong to ask.
The reality is if people don't want to read a post or answer a question they are not obligated to. So why be snarky about the question being asked why not simply skip over it?

I would have to agree. The aggression in the post nearly blew me out of my little chair (must remember to install seatbelts for these angry posts), ouch. But it is true, ask questions, the only stupid question is the one unasked. You will learn from BOTH sides of the D/s from reading here. One never stops learning, even after years there are discoveries to be made.

Awww....not a dumb question, there are times when I work 12 hr/7days for weeks and could barely tell you my name. Circumstances count also...

Cool.  A grudge thread.  I guess the other one got too heated for you.

Rather than look at this entirely from a perspective on what happens on message boards, let's mix it in with a generation Z perspective as it relates to BDSM.  Generation Z BDSM (not those necessarily born in generation Z) folks could be related to those who have always relied on the internet to have every answer afforded to them with a few keystrokes.  Like is supposed to be one of the drawbacks as generation Z folks get older, they are so used to every answer being delivered to them, they don't especially have the drive to seek out other methods.  This is a bit different than is theorized about generation Y, who also had the influence of the internet, but are also familiar with researching their queries by other means.  Generation Y folks are more the type to use the internet as one source of information, but not the only source, while generation Z would be more the type to be lost without it's one and only source.

One other thing that seems to apply between the theory of real life generation Z folks and what could be termed as generation Z BDSM folks is that the Z types are less likely to have good interpersonal skills in face to face interactions.  The phenominon of the anonymity of the internet is believed to contribute to this factor.  With the way the two threads have turned out, I tend to think this could be correct, as many folks who have come to BDSM in a generation Z fashion have little use for munches or other social situations.

Fast Reply: It's not wrong to ask questions, but for fuck's sake, please find a spellcheck thingamajiggy and use it.

If this has been covered elsewhere, sorry, but I've been busy setting shit on fire.
