A conversation with an interesting person recently has me thinking about people's early experiences that, in retrospect, were pretty clear signs of things to come and I am very curious about other people's experiences also! I remember very clearly being in 1st grade and seeing an episode of the old live action Batman show. The episode begins with a lovely woman going into a jewelry shop. She looks at things that she wants, then uses some kind of spray on the shoes of the men working in the store and they become stuck to the floor. She laughs at their helplessness, takes what she wants, and leaves. My little brain ran to painfully high temperatures. A beautiful woman who renders men helpless, laughs, and does what she wants! I wasn't really sure about things at the time, but in hindsight it's pretty obvious that I was already wired a certain way. So if you are willing to share, please tell me! What things happened early in your life that may have seemed peculiar at the time, but that make a lot of sense looking back on them?

Ha see I am a sub, but I remember tying my sister up to the radiator and laughing at her. I also remember randomly slapping men at school (ok actually that makes more sense) I think you can look for meaning and attach significance to things that actually are pretty insignificant. Just my opinion

I was a tomboy and never really liked dolls. But I did like pretending Barbie type dolls were real little people and I was the all powerful goddess that ruled their world that they worshiped and obeyed. The post I just made in Prin's emotional masochism thread tells about my childhood sadism.

When playing 'house' as a kid I was very often the 'mommy' and everyone knew when I was 'mommy' that any naughtyness got them a spanking... This was a little odd since my own parents never spanked me so it seems my mind was, as you say, hard wired for this from a very young age.

I agree that confirmation bias is a powerful thing. But forewarned is forearmed, and my memory of the emotional response I had is... uh... almost embarrassing in retrospect.

I dunno. I always seemed to wind up being the one that got tied up and it didn't seem to matter what role I was playing. And then of course, I had to be tortured and interrogated in order to get me to divulge information and to assimilate to the new world I was going to have to live in the rest of my days. Does that count? OH, and the game.... cowboys and indians. We had vivid imaginations. lovingpet

hhmm..I never had any of these fantasies or thoughts that everyone here talks about that they had as young ones..not a one. Mine was always simply...strong, tall, take control, powerful leader type men are hot.

Yup.... Loved the pics around people's houses of loved ones in uniform or just dressed for high powered success! Yummy!!!! I don't even know if mine counts. I was just playing. I didn't think anything of it and it was just in innocence. It isn't as though me as a 7 year old was saying, "oh yeah baby tie me tighter!" or anything. It wasn't even that I was intentionally choosing the role I thought would get me tied up. Sometimes I was actually trying to NOT wind up the one being tied up, but alas it always seemed to fail. I had feelings of kinkiness my entire life. My cousins tied me to a porch when I was but a young lad... and went off and played elsewhere for about eight hours. Batman did it for me. Catwoman entered and actually whipped her henchmen. ALL the female villains on Batman practiced a form of female domination. I knew from age two what I was. When I met her, I actually told Julie Newmar (Catwoman) that I have loved her since I was two.

True tales: 1) my Barbie family's world was structured very specifically. Skipper was blonde Barbie's precocious, ever-in-need-of-"grounding" girlfriend and Ken did all the housework, patiently waiting for high-powered executive Barbie to take notice. i related more to Skipper and Ken and looked up to Barbie. At one point, i had an additional much longed-for brunette Barbie. She visited blonde Barbie for long weekends, they'd use Ken as a foot prop/coffetable (i had a generic brand doll couch and the Barbie bubblebath but no other toy furniture) and send Skipper on endless errands while they enjoyed a good soak. 2) i have a very early memory of being at the Mall with my mother and seeing a biker couple walk by. She had one wrist handcuffed to one of his beltloops. Being in the age group that immediately points out the elephant in the room, i pointed at the woman's wrist and screetched, "Look, mommy! Shiny braclet! Pretty!" Before my mom covered my eyes and turned me away from the "horrible sight", the woman gave me the most beatific smile. i distinctly recall a thought along the lines of, "i must have that smile. Must find man who has shiny braclets like those." 3) i had the worst little kid crush on a couple of my big brother's friends. When they would come over to hang out, i would run around the house bringing all manner of things, from drinks they wanted to random objects they asked me to find until they ignored me and i fell asleep curled up at their feet. Some of the most relaxing naps i ever recall having. i don't have a lot of memories of being a child, but those are some of the most vivid memories i have.
