So I tried the search feature but all I could find was a bunch of posts about the kind of sounds that you hear- not exactly what I was looking for.  I was looking for information about the medical play definition of sounding- inserting metal rods into the urethra.

A bit of background:

When sounds are used, burning during urination is not an unusual after-affect. Caution must be used with sounds as the longer sounds can reach (and possibly) damage the bladder. This all falls under 'medical play' so you will find more information using that search term.

The burning while urinating is common after sounds.  You probably don't need to switch lube.  It's too late for this advice now, but any time that you are playing with sounds, make sure your bottom drinks quite a bit of water when the play is over specifically because the lube needs to be washed out by urination.

A lot of males feel like they are "close" or have the same type of stimulation as an orgasm,  but it hasn't been My experience of anyone actually ejaculating.  I'm a fair beginner to this type of play as well, so that could limit My answer here.


Also because I'm relatively new to it, I haven't done any form of double penetration.  Sounds are enough to keep My attention so I don't lose My grip, shall we say.

Yes it's common to have burning sensations when urinating, but it's not because of the lube, just sensitivity.

As for cumming solely on sounding, I've heard of a few people saying they got close, but I have never personally heard of it happening. (But not outside the realm of possibility probably)

This I have wondered about.  I have a sounds set.  I have not used it though.  The whole steralization thing has eluded me.  I suppose soaking in bleach should work.

You can easily damage and bruise the urethra with a sound, especially if you try to force it past the head or use one that's too big; the urethra narrows suddenly there. If you run into trouble, head straight to an Emergency with a cloth-covered ice pack.

You should also run straight to Emergency if you didn't sterilise the sound before you used it!
If you really did borrow it [forehead slap], the burning may be from the dilation, but unless it was sterile and sealed and they used a fresh pair of gloves to give it to you, you may also have a free dose of gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, AIDS, hepatitis, etc. from their hands even if it wasn't previously inserted.
