I realise this was (probably?!) largely facetious - and I do get the joke! - but alas it did also prod the pedant in me.

This is actually a myth, and has much more to do with the minds need to draw patterns through things that aren't really there.

I live with 3 other women, and before that I lived with five, before that 4, before that three, before that 6, and in every situation we all had our periods in the same week, unless someone was on the pill. So myth your article may claim.

To be honest though I find that all of us menstruating together actually doesn't make the house more strained, I also live with three men, and they cope just fine, there has only been one case, in the year that we have lived together, when there was a violent outburst with much crying.

In relation to the OP, I would love to rule the world on my terms, however I wouldn't much like to rule people with some of the attitudes that they hold so in that case probably not.

Right. I'd need that level of omnipotence to take on a project of that magnitude.

On the other hand, it would be interesting to try and put together a decision making body that was competent, even excellent, and yet as free from political influence as you could make it, and try to come up with ways to govern that would be "right" , given whatever guiding principles you set forth.

I wonder how different it might look, if at all, from the current system.

Status: offline 		The more you have power over, the more responsibility you have. And if you're a good dominant or leader, you don't blow that off just because you're tired.

If he had a dozen subs, then he would have to deal with all their various problems when they were in need, more time consuming both in putting out fires and in doing general maintenance, to mix metaphors. Giving him less down time.

This is one of the reasons why good Presidents leave office looking a lot older and careworn than the eight years should account for.

Exactly. To be honest, I'm a sub male, and I would do a GREAT job at ruling the world. I'd do it because I care about my world and the people in it, not because I'm dominant or submissive.

To be honest, history has shown us that those who DESIRE to rule the world tend to be the worst leaders ever. With a very few exceptions, they all tend to be so focused on themselves that the world suffers as a result.

There would be one hell of a lot less folks in it if I was running it, There would be a cull of politicians, lawyers, beaurocrats, mimes, chavs, traffic wardens, any one who had committed one of a number of crimes, anyone involved in the creation of TV soaps, religious fundamentalists of any persuaision.... and thats just for starters! Not condusive to being worshipped, feared maybe, but not worshipped.... actualy add "People who would want to worship Me" to the list (Those I Own being an exception to that!)
