There's a stolen photo report page for Collarme but I don't see any way to report obvious fake profiles all from the same person but using photos of different women for each one. Isn't this also a violation? Many of the photos are explicit, always have an age of 19, have a one line description using the terms "control" or "rule" and these words are also part of the user name. So far I've seen at least 5 profiles since I started noticing the pattern so perhaps there have been more.

DomMeinCT -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/24/2009 8:18:01 PM)

It's clear that fake profiles make you frustrated (you started another profile about it recently....http://www.collarchat.com/m_2775168/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#2775168), but if you know they're fake, why don't you just report them, block them, ignore, and move on?

It's clear you misinterpreted my post; also, the link you provide is for this thread.

DomMeinCT -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/24/2009 9:49:33 PM)

Despite posting the wrong link, this is not the first thread you've started about fake profiles.  I didn't misinterpret.....why not focus on the real profiles?

Okay...I'll say it in a new way. The thread was started to report someone is creating fake profiles to the moderators since I cannot find a way to report this via a direct link or whatever. The title will hopefully catch their attention and the post has the relevant details.

So there you have it.

WyldHrt -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/24/2009 10:24:51 PM)

AFAIK, the mods over here on collarchat have no control over profiles on collarme. All you can do is report, block, and move on.

SweetNika -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/25/2009 12:22:52 AM)

There are 2 sets of Mods one for the forums and ones for the other side, they don't overlap. If you "think" someones profile is fake all you can do is report it to the mods, block, or hide them. If your going out searching for patterns or fake profiles, perhaps you have way to much time on your hands or are spendin your time focusin on the wrong things.

Missokyst -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/25/2009 6:33:38 AM)

If I saw something that appeared to be a fake profile I would just move on.  It is not my job to help other people make smart decisions.  If you spotted it, shouldn't other people be able to do the same?  If they don't I'll bet they will learn soon enough, sometimes you have to burn your wings before you decide to stop flying into the lightbulb.

olena -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/25/2009 6:52:57 AM)

Put your focus and effort into the profiles that you think are a good match for you, ignore and do not spend any time on the fakes and last but not least ignore profiles that you do not know out of little in them but hope they are sincere and a match because you like their picture or interest list.

It always seems to me the people most upset about the fake profiles are the people gullible to writing them in the first place.

MEATHunter -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/25/2009 6:55:26 AM)

If the admins cared then they'd be stopped. Allowing the auto-approval and approval of nudity was just the next step in increasing advertising revenue.

FullCircle -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/25/2009 7:13:55 AM)

I saw someone whose main profile picture had artwork by Hajime Sorayama, I’m highly doubtful Mr Sorayama is a member of the site but it is up to him to recognise this infringement and report it.

daintydimples -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/25/2009 7:34:32 AM)

I love his work (Sorayama).

I personally feel obligated to report profiles that use copywritten work such as Sorayama.

Whereas I prefer to report fake profiles, bringing us full circle.

Though honestly the site admins clearly don't care. So many simple things could be done to protect against fakes yet there isn't any interest.

*Ponders*

Does living in a fantasy world equate to fake?

porcelaine -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/25/2009 8:43:58 AM)

i've never understood the expectation people seem to have in the virtual world. you spend your time speaking with people you've never met, and even when friendships form or other connections blossom, you're still in essence familiar strangers. the anonymity of the internet provides opportunity and inspiration for those of dubious character to do the things you've stated.

in truth you have twenty-four hours in a given day. it seems futile to devote energy to persons who have clearly chosen to misrepresent themselves for whatever reason. i would think that each moment allocated is one taken away from a profile that would seem worthy of your attention or response.

the other fact that is overlooked is that we're all here by choice. both the one who elects to deceive and those that willingly expose themselves to the deception. it is your time and you control how, with whom, and where it will be spent. while i don't condone the behavior you've mentioned, i must accept responsibility for my actions, including those not so pleasant situations that don't turn out as planned.

I'm almost sure that Monty Python's Flying Circus has inspired some of these threads.

DemonKia -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/25/2009 9:14:16 AM)

lol

Customer: Hello, yes, I'd like to report this profile. It's a fake! Yes, yes, I'm absolutely sure that it's fraudulent. It's not real. It is faux. It's only reason for being is to deceive. It has no basis in fact . . . . .

CollarMe-keeper: Are you sure? Some people's fakes are another person's actualities.

Customer: No, no, no, that's just not true, a fake is a fake is a fake is a fake. This is a mere facade of a living, breathing human being. A pretense . . . .

Missokyst -> RE: Fake Profiles with Explicit Photos (8/25/2009 9:36:56 AM)

So basically you are saying that anyone who is female 19, probably bi, and is dominant is fake.  What if I said that anyone over 50 and still looking is a fake?  What if I said all men 18-30 who wanted sex were fakes?  I do agree there are a lot of people on this site who either offer professional services, or who just are just here to mess with people.  So what?

I can see you are adult.  I assume you have the ability to discern what might be an illusion.  Do you think that others do not possess that same quality?  If you look at the moderator posts you might find one there about blacklisting, read it.

As for fakes, ADULTS really should have the capacity for figuring things out.  Why must so many think we have to be protected from our own folly?
