The message he's getting to a wider audience this week is what's important.

For example, Beck is very convincingly exposing the White House's deliberate assault on free speech, item by item:

GLENN BECK: When you read the new diversity officer, what is the most disturbing thing that you have seen? What are the things that he says that stick out to you?
SETON MOTLEY: Well, he's fundamentally opposed to virtually any private ownership of media. [...]
BECK: Tell me exactly what his plan is.
MOTLEY: His plan is to use the nebulous FCC regulations of media diversity and localism to travel alternative routes to arrive at the same destination as the Fairness Doctrine, which is to shut you up by shutting you down. He wants to assault the radio industry to effect an ideological outcome...

You're living in denial, because Glenn Beck (and Bill O'Reilly, etc.) are smart and very professional. These guys are at their zenith, while their liberal competition have crickets for their audiences.

Its that way for good reason, and all the assaults on them from the White House czars only serve to further elevate their status. Were they ignored they would be little more than background noise and hum, but these direct attacks put them on an equal footing (or a nearly equal footing) to the bully pulpit.

Keep hammering away, Mr. President!

Well, it's just my guess, but if you are losing 36 major corporations as sponsors, including Wal-Mart and CVS, and have to resort to Smiling Bob and his hard-on pills there is going to have to be a huge increase in viewership to make up for the lost revenue.

As has been pointed out already, that list of sponsors that are "pulling their ads" is a fake, it was generated by the White House Czar's dummy organization that started the astroturf campaign to have the ads pulled. And the few who actually are pulling their ads are pulling them from all opinion-oriented shows. Overman, Maddow, Mathews... all of them.

I disagree that this little limp penis of a commentator is unimportant. It was shit-for-brains nutjobs like him that ended up making so many Americans paranoid in the early 90's, which directly led to the OKC bombing, the Ruby Ridge tradgedy, and now (recently) sent a "twue" American woman packing her ammo to go set up a sniper nest near a FEMA basecamp... DIRECTLY BECAUSE Beck accused that installation of being an "Obama concentration camp." Luckily, no one was shot thanks to his irresponsible bullshit.

The dickhead is a menace! I, for one, am glad that his sponsors are fleeing like rats leaving a sinking ship. May this will make these blowhards shut their festeirng gobs for a week or two, as the wonder where the "line" has shifted to... that is, how insane can they get before the money wises up, and walks away?

After all, that's all this is really about: telling the marching morons; the racists, the homophobes, the gun freaks, the conspiracy theorists, the misgynistic Morlocks who still laugh at terms like "femminazis"... just what they want to hear, so that they will keep tuning in, and hearing the sponsor's commercials. But, what sponsor wants it's product name associated with with such vile, cretineous, raw sewage?

Don't worry about Beck, though, folks. Cockroaches manage to survive, even after the nukes go off.

(Who, BTW, used to be a part of a comedy/variety show during the Nixon years. It went off the air because of direct pressure from the then VP, Spiro Agnew. Agnew was great at this sort of thing, I was re-reading Harlan Ellison's two volume set "The Glass Teat" which has several interesting essays on how the Nixon Administration used many of the same techniques that were popular in Russia at the time for controlling the media, and thus public opinion.)

I am missing the lie Tazzy. The group stopped by and not even a staffer would talk to them. They sent 2 letters which were not responded to. They made some noise (newsmax article). Clinton bent overbackward to meet and placate them. They accepted the apology. What is the lie?

First, it was lousey reporting. They didnt even bother to invetigate what they were supposedly told, they just ran with the story.

Second, The National President asked for the emails and negative comments would cease.

Third, the Gold Star members refute that this was all intitiated by them.

Her staff was there. The ladies said they were treated rudely, and thier first letter was ignored. The second was only responded to after the Newsmax/right made noise about it. Hillary apologized and made up for it. The Gold Star Moms forgave them.

This is the facts from Newsmax. They are true, and sourced.

Neither they nor newsmax is complaining that Hillary did not meet with the delegation that dropped by with no notice while she was out of town. Which is what you are trying to pretend. A staffer would not even shake thier hand, and give them 2 minutes. And follow up letters were ignored. Untill the article came out. The situation has since been resolved to the Gold Star Mothers satisfaction, so they want people to drop it.

It doesn't make the News max article a lie

That was after they were forgiven, and got the attention they wanted.

Newsmax did say that Hillary was not there, and they came un announced. They also noted that every other Senator they dropped in on , un-anounced, had at least a staffer listen to them for a few minutes. I am justnot seeing any big lie. Sure its Newsmax, and they spin it to make her look as bad as possible and call her juvinille names, but the facts of the story are all correct.

If Huffington Post is considered Valid, Newsmax certainly also is.

now, as far as Clinton's being the only office, i highly doubt they visited every congressional members office that trip. a gross exageration.

according to snopes, the ladies were "miffed" at the receptionist, not at Clinton. a quick fact check would have made a world of difference.

I agree that the in the Newsmax text the highlighted "And" should be an "or".

That's not repeatedly lying. Look, I am not pretending Newsmax is a pulitzer winning news site. Thieir editing is crappy and biased. But the facts in this story are all correct.

And you are not adressing that they had to send 2 letters and the second was not responded to until after the Newsmax article came out. The Newsmax story correctly noted they had sent 2 letters and recieved no reply.

They have 2 sources for it, which is the basic standard.

All i am going by is what the Ladies themselves said. They never reported the story, it was all second and third hand. They grumbled to friends about the treatment they recieved by a Clinton receptionist, and another ex Congressman, who was also on the editorial board at this "paper" picked up on it during a meeting with this same group and ran with it.

The organization said this wasnt how it happened. The site is extremely conservative.

When i was a kid, we used to play the whispering game. i would whisper something to someone, and they would whisper it to the next person, on down the row. the last person would speak up and say what they were told. rarely was it anywhere near what it started out to be.

this is one of those cases... rumors... reported as facts... and no one checked.
