Same as everybody else, I suppose. Read lips, teach him sign language, use common nonverbal cues. There's too much talk in the world as it is.

I'm not sure if it's what Your looking for , but EuroTek makes a couple of small electric shock boxes that react to sound. They could be set to administer a minor shock to get Your attention. Scotty

I was trying to invesion many situations where a "tap out" would work

Let'say your subs arms are tied overhead & you are putting clothes pins on is privets or beating him, many times your eyes will go up to his hands and instead of seeing him holding the rope or chain he is tapping it.

Or you have his head locked in a "smother box" or you are qeening him. All you have to do is keep an eye on his dominate hand (very feww people will tap witth their left hnad unless they are left handed, so you should find out in advance?

Or you have him bent over a bench and you are pounding his ass and are getting a little too excited and he can't take it, that hand will be tapping the bench and you will know he really can't take the 12" like he said he could ....lol!

I loved a very kind aged old lady, who told me interesting tales always, in my childhood. When I was largish my parents called my attention to stand me front of her always if I talk to her because she does not hear she interpret my speech by lip-reading. I did not believe it! But it was true though. Secretly I addressed her stood behind her back vainly did not hear me really. She lived a totally happy life although she was born without auditory nerve.

I've read where having a sub or slave hold something in their hand like a brightly colored handkerchief or a ball in their hand is effective. They can drop it or toss it at crucial moments.
When I've been gagged I was instructed to tap my Dom's leg if I needed to communicate something.
