What is it you long for? What do you think will fill your space?

I want to learn how to be content in the moment. Without worrying about the future, or obsessing over mistakes I've made in the past. I don't know what will fill my space. I know it's something I need to find, it's something for me, about me. It's not about another person or what I think another person can bring to my life.

This is something I've been working on. Learning to appreciate what I have, not defining my life by what I don't have.

As we go along thru life, Ive noticed that nothing is ever the same over time. Thats not always bad. Sometimes thats a wonderful thing.

And yes, we do pile up our experiences within us. So believe it or bot, it makes those moments when we see how amazing things can be, just that much more amazing.

Dont despair, perhaps you can make happen what you wish to happen. But one thing you've got right. That moment on the silent and still lake, with music and fireflies. You've described the perfect moment. Rejoice! You've been to the top of the mountain!

When i find myself feeling empty, lonely, sad - or those horribly awful feelings that are no fun at all, i try as hard as i can to put my focus on all i have to be thankful for - what i HAVE - instead of what i want to have. It works EVERY time. Before i know it i feel really great again. The longer i live, the more i realize how i feel has a lot to do with what i'm willing to work at feeling.
