doing situps does not make you a soldier, but being made to do 100 situps could clearly be a form of punishment.

Yes, to cause the body to hurt through exorcize could be a punishment. A position that causes strain to the body could serve to impart a lesson, both during and after to remind the offender of the consiquence of whatever they were did to be punished.

It is the perogitive of the Master/Mistress in how they wish to disapline their slaves. If they so desired, they could use a yoga position to inflict pain.

It may not be the most effective method, but that is their call to make.

Hmm, I'm not much into the punishment dynamic on either side of the whip, especially in physical ways. My Master has authority to punish me if he deems necessary, but the two times I was punished physically by my previous Dominant left me in a weird headspace for a couple of weeks afterward. I *have* incorporated yoga and martial arts into S/M and bondage scenes, though. Sparring and playfighting are fun, and trying to hold a challenging pose while being thwacked is quite interesting. Some poses are able to be maintained long enough for me to be bound into them. My Master sometimes helps me with yoga and other stretches, and assisted handstands and backbends, as practice for my gymnastics class. It's more fun and I get better range of motion than when I do them solo.

I JUST started Jujitsu, 2nd class was Tuesday night for 3 hours.
Honestly - it must be a form of masochism..
and I don't like or want to get hurt much less deal with pain, bruises or all those pretty marks I LOVE to deliver to another body.
I can see setting yoga poses as a form of concentration, but not just for that.
Pain?
nah, yoga makes Me sweat, and even though I'm not good at it yet,
My body responded better to yoga than all this front rolling, face-falling, tossing about stuff in Jujitsu!

..  then 'why Jujitsu?"
well now.. it is amazing exercize and mental training..
and a couple of My friends are in that dojo.
Let's see how far I go!  ( I went to the chiropractor yesterday!)
Always the best Diva~Zya

3 hours at a clip is pretty intensive.
I love doing the throws and I just learned a back roll out of a submission the other night and was terribly amused with myself.
Hang in there and have fun!!!  :>

YES PLEASE!!!

I would love this. It would carve my body in all of those yummy places. :3

You know... the v thing with the pelvis. I always think of brad pitt (damn you brad.... -_-) in fightclub.

Plus it would be nice to know I can bring down the house. Literally. Only when told though.

Hello everyone.

Just curious if anyone has experience using martial arts or yoga on their slave as a means of punishment.  i have been doing yoga for three years and staying in some of the poses for a prolonged period can be quite painful!

not at all. because it is something i find very enjoyable and for me it isn't physical but meant to align the four states of being. i suppose it could be utilized in the manner mentioned if the submissive had little affinity for it. i don't know if i'd engage in this way because all physical makeups are different and maintaining some of the poses may prove cumbersome for many and could even lead to strains or injuries. which would do little to inspire the correction one would seek, but would definitely lead to a lot of apologies.

Reminds me of the old-fashioned American way of punishment via calisthenics... similar to what you see in miltary boot camp, PE classes, and on sports teams... punishment via push-ups, etc.

The activity you are describing is an act of sadism. Sadism for the use of punishment is not an acceptible practice for me. Punishments need to be quick and to the point. Anyone who must infict punishment should never ever enjoy it.

I am taking jiu jitsu and MMA classes and sometimes it is painful but it's far better for pain management than for causing pain for me, knock-on-wood.  I mean, if someone did a submission hold on me or arm-barred me or choke/neck cranked me or any number of other unpleasant things that cause a person to 'tap out', that would hurt: kinda the idea of the things, to win via pain infliction.  If someone did that as a 'punishment' in a supposed relationship, I'd wait until they were asleep and hit 'em with a baseball bat.  That would end the relationship.  :>

Davan,

your bedside manners leave much to be desired

Ju-Jutsu is a remarkably efficient martial art that is the basis of the German police hand to hand combat training, A friend at the shooting club showed me a few handles. It was really painful, and irresistible. If a dom was to apply that on his sub/slave, he would be out of his mind, out of his role, and I wish him a nice bedtime story by Davan.

BTW, Davan, baseball bats may be more in your culture, but I recommend the wooden part of an axt. Much more solid, ergonomic and balanced Also, it is more dissuasive, especially if you leave it with the metallic part on

Be seing you

Henry
