Yes, I did laugh, It is pretty funny.

Yes it is. Did you happen to post them anywhere or send them to anyone before you caught on? You have to admit, that would make it even funnier (or is that just My twisted sense of humor?)

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with Elaine's nipple in her Christmas card.

To be honest, I rarely pay any attention to the background. It is a picture of the person, not whatever crap is around them.
And if a pic has a mess in it, what does it tell me about them....absolutely nothing.
They may be a basically messy person (like me), or they may be the type of person who isn't interested in impressing peoiple who are so shallow as to judge a person by the cleanliness of the room in which they have their picture taken (again, like me).
However, given that I am basically an ugly old bugger, these things don't really matter much to me...I'm not going to catch anybody with my looks or my housekeeping

This is true, and one can not help but notice how they can see right through you.

Alas, I'm so transparent, aren't I. It's as fault, you know, the only one I'm sure I have.

I usually read the profiles of new posters and am amazed to see how many are posting pictures of themselves amidst very messy rooms, rooms with only a mattress on the floor, etc

I would rather see clutter than a "Glamour Shot!"

The pic of me on profile -- the one with blonde hair -- gets alot of attention. Where? Why so __ (enter emotion of choice)? Who took it? Why were you wearing a suit?

Dunno why but that pic provokes alot of conversation.

Brightspot I always feel that with in reason non posed pictures shows someone is real and not a posed shot in a studio. Like my picture out in the garage by the cabnits, it was taken when I was trying to find a hairdue I liked with makeup I liked and I was like I know take pics so I can see, so it happend, instead of being all posed and done up Explicitly FOR a picture with that in mind.
