Real journalism for a change.

You won't find hard-hitting stories like that on '60 Minutes' will you.

One minor thing though, ACORN doesn't get nearly that much federal money. Millions maybe, but not billions.

This is one of the groups that our esteemed leader, Obama, cut his teeth with as a 'community organizer'. He or the other democrats will do nothing to end funding to this group of con artists and crooks. 2 got fired, thousands still remain on the federal dole.

Underaged girls, claiming them as dependents, and calling them performing artists. Wow.

So should anything be done about ACORN?

As for telling the difference.... um yes, I can.
Lemme clarify myambiguos linguistic skills for you, my friend :

- In OP I said 8 Bil
- Sanity said figure was wrong, more like millions
- I say hmmmm. thought I read 8 million... so I re read an article, sure enough, says 8 million.
- I Google a few more " ACORN, stimulus money :
- I read several results, seems there are differing dollar amounts: from millions to billions, depending on which source you read
- I conclude; hmm Sanity could be right, could be millions
- I respond as you quoted. Which should be interpreted as: could be millions, could be billions, not whether or not I have the ability  to distinguish between millions and billions.

There fore : ACORN recieves tax monies and stimulus monies. I do not have any idea the dollar amout they recieve.

A similar video from the Washington DC ACORN office has surfaced, but nobody is covering this story at all, except for Fox and the Wall Street Journal. Millions in government money (at least) is flowing to this corrupt organization and their crimes aren't being reported.

I just heard a Glenn Beck clip in which he pointed out that the government can't do health care because the system is corrupt,  and he makes a good point. Such crimes aren't even reported in the major media, so why in the hell would anyone in  their right minds support any kind of expansion in government for any reason?

Until now I wasn't sure if I was going to the Boise Tea Party today, but I just made up my mind - I'll be definitely be there.We have unsustainable deficit spending flowing straight to the worst kind of corruption imaginable and the networks are focused onlys focused on fake polls and one Congressman's emotional outburst because he's a Republican.

If we don't make a statement it will never be made.

You can't stand the facts/truth so you attack the messenger thereof.  You definitly have a big future in Obama's White House.

Yesterday the Census Bureau severed its' ties with ACORN regarding the 2010 census.

ACORN, most of the cabent nominies for this president and "czars" for various positions that are getting federal pay checks doing cabnet level work but notr accountable to anyone but a president that has kept company with raciists and criminals. hmmmmm seems to me that the same people that complained about bush/cheny money and oil ties can conviently over look this lack of caracter of our president. the first thing that comes to mind is hypocrates

Seems to me like many are covering this story. And you ar not getting any responses, perhaps, because no one is arguing. This is obviously an organization that is crooked, either at the ground level and needs alot of hlp... or at the top and needs to be closed down.

Again, can we have some proof of this funding?

The word of a conservative editorial  writer who did not document her facts does not constitute proof.

LOL.... Some of you are amazing. Nice little spin on how to refocus the conversation from the fact that ACORN is a corrupt organization.

Did I not say to Sanity, that my numbers could be wrong, did I not repeat that in my response to SOT ? Not only that they could be wrong, that after further reading I have no flipping idea the dollar amount ?



If I haven't been clear :

I PROBABLY AM WRONG IN HOW MUCH IN TAX DOLLARS THEY RECIEVE.
 
Again, I ask, do you have anything of substance to add to the actual topic ?  This is my last respone to millions vs billions. My Dad  always told me not to get into pissing contests with skunks. I will be happy to discuss the topic, however.

Here is a tip.... vet your own sources. If you have figures, they are easily enough to verify or debunk, not only for those who will call you on the inaccuracies, but easily enough for you to verify yourself before posting innaccurate information and having others question everything else.
