I have heard of instances where a Dom either male or female gets over thrownd by there property and thus become the property. Is there any truth to this? (No offense intended.)

ownership changes are a different scenario. but what you mentioned can happen if they enter the relationship with different starting points. someone with more experience on the submissive end with a naturally strong dominant character could prove to be a challenge for a partner who wasn't on the same level or willing to play catch up. i find this would be more evident on the male dominant/female submissive end. differences not withstanding, some men are just not comfortable having someone that outpaces them.

on a positive note it could possibly work if he's willing to work hard and learn. but if he simply doesn't have the push or assertiveness to overcome his deficiencies and ignorance an inevitable shift will take place. especially if the stronger party is naturally proactive. which simply says she doesn't stop growing just because he isn't where she is. take this out of the context of power exchanges and see if from the vantage point of dating someone you're on par with and it will make sense. as would the challenges of being different in that scenario as well.

Only in porn.

Look submissives are that because we don't want to be in control. Now if the dominant stops controlling us we will start taking back control, picking our own clothes, deciding what to do about the car. But we damned well aren't going to tie him up and beat him. Why would we? We don't like doing that.

And switches don't do by force without the dominant's consent in order to 'get revenge' either.

You know, espada, most of your posts show the signs of a guy who watches lots of porn and thinks this stuff is real. It isn't, it's fake, designed to get guys hard enough to spent $49.99 for a lame dvd.

lovingpet -> RE: Is this True? (9/11/2009 5:56:13 AM)

Sometimes a switch may do a takedown, but only with another switch and only for the other person's benefit. It is very delicate manuever actually and is not based in retribution at all. As for overthrowing my dominant partner, it is the farthest thing from my mind to even consider doing such a thing.

DesFIP -> RE: Is this True? (9/11/2009 6:26:00 AM)

He needs to get out in the real world and stop the porn watching. His ideas are just weird, and his views on dommes are equally so, coming from this kind of porn where the poor put upon guy suddenly gets revenge and she, upon getting a good hard fucking, suddenly becomes his slave.

It doesn't happen. It's all faked for the money from gullible guys like him.

EspadaKing -> RE: Is this True? (9/11/2009 6:39:07 AM)

I have never watched SM porn I only know what I have read from peoples online stories of there experiences.

lovingpet -> RE: Is this True? (9/11/2009 6:41:19 AM)

I haven't followed the OP's posts. It does seem a bit weird though.

AnimusRex -> RE: Is this True? (9/11/2009 8:48:46 AM)

In the sense that the Op meant "overthrown", like where a male slave grasps a bodice and rips it open to reveal a heaving bosom, and the supple slave flesh underneath?
Um, no, it only happens in erotic novels.

But many relationships are marked by shifting power, whether topping from the bottom, "do me" subs, or simply old-fashioned hen-pecking, or passive aggression. There are many "Dom/mes" who are in fact the follower in their relationship. What is different about power exchange lifestyles is that they celebrate and make explicit the power dynamics that are slyly concealed in most vanilla relationships.

Which is why a simple question like "should a slave have her own checking account" is good for about 250 posts and months-long flame wars.

Lashra -> RE: Is this True? (9/11/2009 9:42:53 AM)

Not in my relationship, past or present. I am the Dominant and there is no room for a second one. Although some people do switch so maybe that is what you are thinking of.

i suggest posing your questions in the Switch Forums.

MasterK100 -> RE: Is this True? (9/11/2009 11:51:13 AM)

God knows I have hear of this rumor or rather urban legend supposedly when a Dom becomes weak and incompetent in there role the sub or slave will get pissed off at the Dom and force him or her to become the slave.

Miyani -> RE: Is this True? (9/11/2009 12:47:45 PM)

How can they force someone to become a slave, who doesn't want to be? Sure, My boy could say to Me "I don't like the way you lead, I'm doing it now, and you will be my slave." And then I would, if he was being bratty, pat him on the head and send him to bed without supper, and if he was serious, I would leave. Unless both parties are switches, it does not work in that way. You do understand that we're talking about consensual slavery here, right, and anything else is rape and assault, probably kidnapping?

what do you mean by 'overthrownd'?

It's like pwning from the bottom.

IronBear -> RE: Is this True? (9/11/2009 10:23:06 PM)

Is it like prawning from the bottom or prawning in the Land Down Under?

See all this happens when you drive on the wrong side of the road. The Aussies like the Brits drive on the left which is of course the right (correct side to drive on)..

..left. left. left right left.. *marches to the beat of the different driving drummer*
Sometimes I drive on the wrong side of the road too.. but in North Carolina, they tend to arrest Us for that sort of thing..

IronBear -> RE: Is this True? (9/12/2009 12:35:58 AM)

S'ok Lass I was banned from driving the LAPD Cruisers for doing that too.

SireKane -> RE: Is this True? (9/28/2009 6:25:20 PM)

This probably happens than you know. My experience in the lifestyles has taught me that most of the men in this lifestyle who claim to be dominant men are submissive butt boys just waiting for the right woman to shove a strap on up their ass. If you think I'm wrong start polling  the real life submissive females you know.

MagiksSlave -> RE: Is this True? (10/3/2009 2:09:53 PM)

Yeah, it happens, but only if you are both wizards and after the same wand...
