ahhh...there's noting more refreshing than a "Mine is bigger than yours" conversation......I am referring to the size of demonstrations, of course.

Excellent point. I noticed that myself.  [sm=lol.gif]

Something else is, there is no end to the screams of foul if someone on the right does it but its supposed to be perfectly acceptable when the left does, just a normal part of the debate.

Welcome to the forums.

Awesome.

Although bonus points for it once again being Repubs being compared to Nazis even when they're in the opposition..

Most of those equating Obama with Hitler are LaRouche people, far leftists though there are undoubtedly some on the right who do. But even then, the left did that for years and years to Bush, so don't get in a such a snit over it. You had to expect that the tables would be turned one day, didn't you?
You're right about the Larouchies, I find this kind of interesting,,,the extreme left says he's a Nazi and the extreme right says he's a Nazi....does that mean he is really a centrist that pisses off the extreme on both sides? That would be fun wouldn't it...an avowedly centrist President....I'm sure its happened, but not in recent memory (except Nixon maybe...he was kinda lefty/soft right on a lot of issues.

I am very curious. Just what would it take, other than a complete suspension of the democratic process to place the republicans back in charge of all branches of our federal government, to stop the endless stream of "we are so put upon by the mean, evil left" cries that seem to be so attractive to some on the right?

Might I point out, that while you are bemoaning the unfairness of your treatment, I have yet to see those on the right wing:

Have congressional hearings in which members of right wing groups are forced to name other members of right wing groups or fact being put on a "black list" and suffer the loss of ability to earn their living in their chosen field as did anyone dubbed a "communist" during the McCarthy hearings
Have police dogs and firehoses turned on them during peaceful marches as did the civil rights protesters
Have the National Guard kill four students during a protest of the conduction of a war as did the peace protesters at Kent State
Be herded into fenced off "free speech" zones placed up to a mile away from the site of the activity against which the protest is being held as was done to any number of protesters during the previous administration.

In real, concrete terms, other than being dismissed as unimportant, what has been done to those on the right wing that leads to this wailing to the heavens about how their free speech rights have been abrogated, their right to protest suspended and their voice taken away? What horrors from the evil left wing have left no choice but that the debate descend to the lowest common denominator where reason is wiped out by swastikas, hammers and sickles and angry shouting?

I find it amusing that a party that speaks so glowingly about personal responsibility has not even considered the concept that if their message isn't being listened to, it is not because of some horrid plan to disenfranchise them. It is because of what they are saying.

Actually Clinton was an avowed centrist/moderate.

Good for you up in Canada, Arpig.  Down here in America every major poll/survey shows that an ever-increasing number of those who voted for Obama have become overwhelmed by his stench and no longer believe or trust him, so many in fact that the majority of Americans now disapprove of Obama.
I'm not sure as to the relevance of your post in relation to the quote, but what the hey. So Obama stinks...guess what, I already said that back in post number 64 do try to keep up.

True. For some reason I completely overlooked him when I was posting.

Not according to any polling I've seen.
A compilation of a bunch of respected tracking polls show none with Obama's job approval below 50%:
