Those awards are usually boring- fake events...and the media hypes it like the 2nd coming of Christ.

I tho am stuck in the 80s.   Maybe the other gal should have won.    Show me the money.  Show me the talent.   I never watch awards shows.   They are overly self congratulatory.

One thought did come to me- when watching the link.  It is sad that MJ is gone.   I always wondered what a come back would have looked like.   But like so many before him the snakes fed off of him like a meal ticket....   enabled him- doped him up.   How tragic.

As to West- cheap publicity stunt.   I have no idea is beonci was better....   because I am not up to date.

Status: offline 		HAha, this is too fucking funny, did any one else get a*ahem* rise outa the photo of Beyonce and Taylor Swift  hugging.. and the pic two down from it...Fucking Classic, west is just look'n glazed with a bottle in hand, and his girl is just look'n trashy fabulous, I don't really keep track of celebs, nor epic ego jump'n events like this one, but if this kind of behavoir continues, I think I'll haveta start watch'n.

Incidentally, did anyone hear a year or so back about his bitchfest about a concert of his? He apparently wanted to wait untill the butt crack of dawn to do the song he wanted. But, much to his chagrin (heh) Pearl Jam (the act prior to his) went over their alloted time due to encore performances.

Status: offline 		whether kanye was correct is beside the point. most people with some element of breeding understand that what one thinks doesn't necessarily need to come tumbling from your mouth. he had ample opportunity to rethink his lunacy before he reached the stage. i don't see his inebriation as the cause, but a probable scapegoat he will utilize as an excuse for his behavior.

everyone has an opinion. most don't elect to interrupt an award presentation unexpectedly to share it. this is no different than the accolades others may receive that we may feel are undeserving. my personal feelings never outweigh my sensibility and respect for decorum.

We all have our favorites...many times we think the judges are wrong... But would you stomp on stage and steal the mic and embarrass yourself and the winner…who had no say beyond talent in the choice of the judges?

Wonder no longer. Actually considering she’ll probably makes billions of utterly meaningless acceptance speeches in her life this will at least be one she definitely remembers.

Has nobody ever started making a speech without some drunk person heckling you or stealing the limelight, never? Hardly story of the year and the fact is people will know who that 19 year old is better now because she was interrupted, more exposure for her so in the end it is good for her. Better than the usual drivel regarding supportive friends, managers, pets, bla bla bla followed by some tears and more bla.

Status: offline 		I do think about of the "talent" of the last many years is based  on money/sales/payola
and not true talent.

I am not familiar with any of the music.  I don't fault West tho.  It was a stunt. Good bad or otherwise Hollywood is all about hype.

La la land.

The girl bringing out the other girl for her moment was nice.

Most of the hollywood stars are so fake it is not even funny. It gives a bad name to the good people of LA- and yes there are good people who live there.

Alot of things are done for shock appeal.  And I certainly would get reprimanded- but I think Madonnas comments about MJ was out of line.

If all we can ever do is sell sex- what does that say about us?   We are carnal and shallow.  What about brains?  What about true artistic talent?

The whole notion of 'class" carries over to people I see in the store.  Who wants to see a 1/2 naked sweaty body while grocery shopping?  

Health can radiate from the inside out.  That glow of happiness and balance.  It does not come from Mabeline or Madison avenue.

I guess I will just line everyone up and inspect the teeth like one does when buying a horse.

As humans we are above that.      At least one would hope.
