You are lucky. I come from family of National Enquirer's. If someone got pregnant, started a period, had a wet dream, got a love note, found a white hair.. it was all worth doing the call network. <<shudder>> As for TMI here.. I don't mind it. I know only a handful of people in person, the rest are random strangers so it is basically like watching TV. I can turn it off if I don't know them. quote:

ORIGINAL: LaTigresse I prefer to keep personal stuff, just that, personal. I lose a tremendous amount of respect for people that drag hurtful personal stuff out for all the world to see. Especially when it appears to be a poor attempt to make themselves seem more important, justify their behaviour or belittle the other person when it is usually THEM that was the fool. (although the sadistic bitch in me enjoys watching them make a fool of themself.......especially if it is a chest thumping wanna be male dominant [:D]) But it makes me sad for the person that they hurt. The sexual stuff, it's crass and tasteless but........that's more my issue than any thing else. I can ignore it. I am that way too. I think it has a lot to do with my mother. She was big not telling personal stuff to anyone outside the immediate family. I don't have a problem with others sharing, except for the examples you mentioned. If they are too annoying, I just skip by their posts. Cuts down on the time I spend here so I have more time for homework.
