Your comments have been very helpful. It is getting better with each passing day. It will soon fade away like a bad dream. And I did learn some very helpful things about myself and what I'm looking and not looking for....

I will take a different tack on this. I have found in my own experiences that submissive women usually seem to find a couple bad matchups. WHy is simple you are submissive and a weak man will use that to control you. He is not leading from his strength but rather from your submission. If a man is strong and is a leader he will take you where you need to be and want to be and you will be safe and happy. Why is simple, he does not have to break you down to build himself up.

I do not blame you for this or anyone else who has fallen into this situation. I think it is a learning experience and it takes a bit of age and experience in life for a Dom to control himself much less another person. It is work and it requires that you take care of the person as well as control them. If the care part is missing it is just beating them for your own jollies or to make yourself bigger in your own mind.

Time will heal and the advice you got to look at what happened is very good. And decide what you want and look for it and how the guy approaches it and you will find what you seek.

My first thought of the morning was what a opportunity I have to just go to school and focus on my studies and my own wants and needs.
So I'm going to run my county song backwards...

If he was a man of honor he would have seen to it that she got the help she needed, not use it against her like that

He is not a man with honor. He is man in the middle of his own addiction and did not want me to seek *real* help. I have known this for some time but it took time and more pain for me to find the strength within myself to finally do what is best for me. We both need to get help. I'm working on my own issues that kept me in harms way.

Prolly not...[;)]...which is why I usually start with "Dear Sir/Madam...In regards to _______________________" rather than "Look here, fuckhead".  Of course, as noted, it is still what I WANT to use with many of my letters/reports.  Especially when dealing with Medicare.  [:@]

Correction, I have never ever said in any of my relationships that ended that he was using me for his own gain.And not every one needs to demonize their partners to feel better about the break up, and sometimes people really were the ass the partner claims they were.
