The Teabagger Socialist-Free Purity Pledge
I, ________________________________, do solemnly swear to uphold the principles of a
socialism-free society and heretofore pledge my word that I shall strictly adhere to the following:
I will complain about the destruction of 1st Amendment Rights in this country, while I am duly
being allowed to exercise my 1st Amendment Rights.
I will complain about the destruction of my 2nd Amendment Rights in this country, while I am duly
being allowed to exercise my 2nd Amendment rights by legally but brazenly brandishing
unconcealed firearms in public.
I will foreswear the time-honored principles of fairness, decency, and respect by screaming
unintelligible platitudes regarding tyranny, Nazi-ism, and socialism at public town halls. Also.
I pledge to eliminate all government intervention in my life. I will abstain from the use of and
participation in any socialist goods and services including but not limited to the following:
● Social Security
● Medicare/Medicaid
● State Children’s Health Insurance Programs (SCHIP)
● Police, Fire, and Emergency Services
● US Postal Service
● Roads and Highways
● Air Travel (regulated by the socialist FAA)
● The US Railway System
● Public Subways and Metro Systems
● Public Bus and Lightrail Systems
● Rest Areas on Highways
● Sidewalks
● All Government-Funded Local/State Projects (e.g., see Iowa 2009 federal senate
appropriations--http://grassley.senate.gov/issues/upload/Master-Approps-73109.pdf)
● Public Water and Sewer Services (goodbye socialist toilet, shower, dishwasher, kitchen sink,
outdoor hose!)
● Public and State Universities and Colleges
● Public Primary and Secondary Schools
● Sesame Street
● Publicly Funded Anti-Drug Use Education for Children
● Public Museums
● Libraries
● Public Parks and Beaches
● State and National Parks
● Public Zoos
● Unemployment Insurance
● Municipal Garbage and Recycling Services
● Treatment at Any Hospital or Clinic That Ever Received Funding From Local, State or
Federal Government (pretty much all of them)
● Medical Services and Medications That Were Created or Derived From Any Government
Grant or Research Funding (again, pretty much all of them)
● Socialist Byproducts of Government Investment Such as Duct Tape and Velcro (Nazi-NASA
Inventions)
● Use of the Internets, email, and networked computers, as the DoD's ARPANET was the
basis for subsequent computer networking
● Foodstuffs, Meats, Produce and Crops That Were Grown With, Fed With, Raised With or
That Contain Inputs From Crops Grown With Government Subsidies
● Clothing Made from Crops (e.g. cotton) That Were Grown With or That Contain Inputs
From Government Subsidies
● If a veteran of the government-run socialist US military, I will forego my VA benefits and
insist on paying for my own medical care
I will not tour socialist government buildings like the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
I pledge to never take myself, my family, or my children on a tour of the following types of socialist
locations, including but not limited to:
● Smithsonian Museums such as the Air and Space Museum or Museum of American History
● The socialist Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson Monuments
● The government-operated Statue of Liberty
● The Grand Canyon
● The socialist World War II and Vietnam Veterans Memorials
● The government-run socialist-propaganda location known as Arlington National Cemetery
● All other public-funded socialist sites, whether it be in my state or in Washington, DC
I will urge my Member of Congress and Senators to forego their government salary and
government-provided healthcare.
I will oppose and condemn the government-funded and therefore socialist military of the United
States of America.
I will boycott the products of socialist defense contractors such as GE, Lockheed-Martin, Boeing,
Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Humana, FedEx, General Motors, Honeywell,
and hundreds of others that are paid by our socialist government to produce goods for our socialist
army.
I will protest socialist security departments such as the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, Department of
Homeland Security, TSA, Department of Justice and their socialist employees.
Upon reaching eligible retirement age, I will tear up my socialist Social Security checks.
Upon reaching age 65, I will forego Medicare and pay for my own private health insurance until I
die.
SWORN ON A BIBLE AND SIGNED THIS DAY OF ____________ IN THE YEAR
______________.

Well, let's see.  Knock aside the half-truths, straw men, selective observations, and other logical fallacies disguised as a bad attempt at humor.....

I'll just add that, yes, 90% of that crap can be privatized.  Defense  not so much (there is a reason that is a constitutional provision).  But if you stop taxing me for the rest, I'll gladly go on a pay-as-you-go plan.

As you were.

The glories of the hypocrisy of the right in full display.

If it is morally repugnant to you then don't use it even if you are taxed to support it.

You mean I get to keep all my tax money, federal, state, local, and fees going to pay for these things in exchange for not participating!? Especially in the case of Medicare and SS which, by anyones accounting, are bankrupt and surely, in the case of SS, will not have the ability to repay any of the money I've paid into it. Do I get a refund too?

Pay as you go roads, but eliminate all the current tax on gas! GREAT!

Personal accountability and self sufficiency! No more bail outs or paying farmers not to grow crops! You have children and have to bring them up yourself using only your own ability to do so?

WHERE DO I SIGN!?

Weren't you planning on moving to Tuscany? The most socialist part of the very socialist nation of Italy? You think taxes are high here? Wait till you start paying taxes there.

What did banks do with 2 trillion dollars lent out by Federal reserve? Should people sit as sheep and pretend they are happy  while being robbed?

I thought the subject was the US, but I'm happy to update you.

Leaving to look at property in about 30 days. Unfortunately still about 2-3 years from making the move. Wish it could be sooner, but it would be unfair to my current employees and staff. The place I'm considering has an olive grove and grapevines. After purchasing my property as an Italian citizen, my 'tax' will be letting people to farm and harvest the crops. I get a percentage of the wine and olive oil. Corporate tax is less, although calculated differently. None of my savings will be subject to taxation. Not as many corporate write offs and much more pay as you go, but I like that idea. Every tax person from both sides of the ocean that I've spoken to has looked as my assets, income, and future anticipated earnings and indicates I'll be paying less than I do here, considering the Federal, State, and Local obligation.

Granted each location has their own peculiar situation. I'd much prefer a place where business and industry is moving from socialism to capitalism than one going in the other direction as is the case with the USA. They are giving me incentives to produce and make work for my fellow citizens. I do that here and get taxed, and promised to be taxed more in the event I am successful.

Now of course there is the benefit of the current US model which rewards failure; but I'm not willing to have that as my goal - ergo my efforts are focused on leaving for a place appreciating the benefits of a successful entrepreneurial effort.

The Federal Reserve lent out.. lastest estimate 3 trillion... to various banks over a 15 month period... but refused to say to whom. Bloomberg sued. And won. Guess the appeal process will be dragged out.

Maybe we will find out come 2012.

This is nonsense. It’s an old and tired argument that any form of social co-operation is socialism and therefore the acceptance of any form of social co-operation (i.e. interstate highways) negates a person’s argument when they criticizing actual socialism (tyranny) or any form of government control over our lives. There is a difference between paying some taxes in order to have a police force and paying ridiculously higher (and higher and higher) taxes in order to support a bloated, ineffective bureaucracy that constantly seeks to expanded itself by taking more and more of our freedoms away.

It explains a few things but I do not support "sound bite journalism" in general. It is basically fake, new modernized propaganda: choosing interviews from a big crowd to make YOUR OWN point. The guy should have clearly stated in the beginning what he wants to prove and then support his argument with interviews. There was obviously an agenda (most are ignorant  and confused) but now you can not discuss it with the reporter ("I just reported the facts").

Oh, you left out:

Never make use of a public library.

Stop using any form or electricity if you live outside of city limits (Rural electrification was considered a "socialist evil" at one time by the conservatives.)

Stop eating all that food that's grown by farmers who receive subsidies.

Never, ever, set foot in ANY of the national parks. Not Yellowstone, not The Grand Canyon, not Carlsbad caverns, NONE of 'em...

Personally, I'm thinking it would be really cool if we got to watch Mercandbeth on youtube, trying to fix their own potholes... or have to pay some private contractor $8,000 per 10 feet of blacktop in front of their house.... (or maybe they could band together with some neighbors to share the cost... but that would be [gasp!] socialisim again!)

Without getting into the Republican-Democrat mud slinging, here's an article on the Tea Party leader that both sides should check out. Its non-partisan, and should be looked at objectively. Enjoy! http://www.prisonplanet.com/open-letter-to-glenn-beck-by-alex-jones.html

You know what's being "left out"? Disclosure.

We have disclosed, or exposed, (your pick) the desire of those championing this representation to want more socialism. I am very happy to see it. At least now, there may be less lying about the goal or the intent.

You want more socialism. More redistribution of wealth without consideration of effort or ability. More places to get something for "free" paid for by someone else's effort. More "entitlements" of housing, health, food, and happiness instead of the freedom to pursue it, to earn it, or not, on your own ability. Rationalizing your personal failure was caused by the success of others. Not accepting the fact that you earned it as much as the person who succeeded earned his/her result.

Well I'm happy to represent the other side of the coin.

I want less! I seek at least the same, or less socialism. The problem is that where collective resources were once pooled and applied for pragmatically necessary uses, they are now the first resort of solution for any issue. As a result which once was something to be earned is now considered something to be entitled. What's needed is less socialism and more personal accountability.

During your Monday September 22 2008 TV broadcast, you expressed your vehement support for the bailout, stating, “The $700 billion dollars that you’re hearing about now is not only I believe necessary, it is also not nearly enough.” However, as soon as Bush left office and Obama picked up the baton and continued the same financial policy, you changed your tune and routinely attacked the bailout as an example of how socialism was taking over America.

The bailout was bad news for America under Bush just as it is under Obama, both were merely performing a transfer of wealth from America to offshore banks and giving the Federal Reserve total dictatorial control over the economy, but you only opposed it when Bush was out of office, proving that your opinions are not wedded to right or wrong, but to which puppet is in the White House

YES!

Socialist Party of America team B. Obama (Pelosi, Reed, Dodd, Summers, Letterman, Jon Stuart, Bill Maher and others) vs. teabaggers, Beck and Limbough. Who wins? Very entertaining!
