Government conspiracys aside:
I will admit that this has not been researched by myself - it is simply something that my father passed on to me as it is part of today's breaking news.
A study released out of British Columbia (source unknown to myself)
1. people who received the seasonal flu shot LAST year, may be more succesptible to the H1N1 this year
2. this institute is recommending that seasonal flu shots be given only for those over 65 and nursing home staff
3. if you receive a seasonal flu shot you should get it AFTER the H1N1
4. there is some belief that there will be no further need for the seasonal flu shot as the H1N1 has wiped out all other strains.
The government of some of our provinces (mostly in the East) have already jumped on this band wagon.
So I have gone from giving my family all the protection it can get - to doing some serious research on this and following the news. I would imagine that this report can be found on CBC.ca as that is the radio station that my Dad listens to.
