It's the communist branch of the GOP that's responsible for Sarah's failure - they muzzled her. They stopped her from being her good ole twue American self. If she'd been left alone, she would have destroyed Obama, that usurpator, that Kenyan socialist.

Either that or her and McCain were trotted out as a My Lovely Horse candidate so that the Dems would get elected and take the blame for the economy going down the toilet and a massive recession.
(Seems to have worked, so fair play to them, though nobody seems to have let Caribou Barbie in on the joke.)

Agreed - I considered that theory last election, and I still think it's a very valid one. Shift the blame, pass the bucket, the buck did NOT stop there, and hey presto! You have a democratic scapegoat all ready to become the next sacrificial lamb on the altar of capitalistic righteousness.

Conspiracy theorists! Gotta LOVE 'em!

Can't be the incompetence of who was elected - MUST have to blame the other side!!!

The man at the top spending money as fast as it can be printed! A Congress giving a majority not subject to any override or having the ability to filibuster. One of the gang - dies? Hell - change the laws to insure the majority isn't impacted! Yet - it's a a "theory" behind the last election! - STOP IT! You're making me laugh so much its hard to breath!

Wholly SHIT! That's made my day!

And yet, you kept well quiet when Georgie Porgy was driving the economy into the ground  .

I'd say your extremely hysterical reaction completely corroborates the theory that the Republicans deliberately put forward a losing horse last election  .

You must have me confused on two fronts. One - that I'm a republican. Two - I was at or near the front of the line against President Bush's economic spending and especially against the "Reward For Failure" stimulus program that President Obama thought was so good - he decided to sign off giving more money to failures. How's that working for the US? Here in CA we're up to 12% unemployment and rising!

However, I know the President has his eye on the ball and the results are pointed to his agenda. Why else would he find the time to travel to Europe to spearhead the 2016 Chicago Olympic committee. Nothing else is currently more important than that - as least to him. Was that another consideration for the "conspiracy" candidacy of McCain and Palin?!

No conspiracy necessary to make that representation!

However, keep 'em coming! I heard a good one....It's the Democrats that are trying to find and hoping that Obama didn't qualify to run for President!

How's it a conspiracy theory? If the Democrats didn't get a President elected every three or four terms, the Republicans wouldn't have anybody to blame all the bad stuff in America on, would they?
(And it's hard not to get the impression that the GOP didn't give a fuck about the McCain/Palin ticket, frankly.)

Anyhow, Merc just wanted an excuse to talk to me - despite his feigned cynicism, he actually worships the ground I walk on  . (He voted for Bush, which explains his current embarrassment, and his trying to blame his candidate's failure on someone else ;-) .)

Stop now - my sides are hurting! "Feigned cynicism"? There is nothing feigned about it - its pure, observable, and holds up to scientific method.

As proud of voting for Bush as I am disappointed in the results. Almost as proud of voting for neither Obama or McCain, and against every incumbent last election and for all foreseeable elections. Pointing to another difference regarding the current batch of rationalizing conspiracy theorists!

BTW - NEWSFLASH.....Bush isn't President and...this just in....The Republicans can't to a damn thing to stop anything from becoming law and/or policy. Obama and the party with the filibuster proof plurality are one. They own the results. What is going on is happening on their watch.

I guess those results are exactly why you need rationalization and conspiracy theory!

You should calm down. I know you have difficulties in holding back the excitement from communicating with me, but you'd look more domly if you regained a semblance of dignity :-) .

I love that instead of showing proof that Mars is wrong ya'll so "No it's not, no it's not, no it's not." Get some facts before y ou dispute, and Glen beck does not count as facts. (Psycho, manic retard with no manners.)

I don't have time to find the article saying that Clinton was accused of murdering an employees of the Government that he dealt with that committed suicide, but my Mom even sent me info that her friends (all republicans) had circulated. I am sure they didn't originate it. And I have seen it referred to in an article yesterday on Yahoo news.

It IS ironic that the economy tanked RIght After the election. Seems rigged doesn't it? Given that it is almost back to where it was before the artificial inflation right before it tanked?

ANyone else notice this?

It wasnt rigged... it was going south long before the election. The Fed Reserve gave out loans to the tune of at least 2 trillion dollars in the 15 months leading up to the election. That is no coincidence. The stock market went under when those who had money in the oil spectulation realized their free ride was up and they yanked out their windfall profits. The rest just followed suit.

The rest of course, is my own theory. Palin was offered up as a scapegoat to keep the Repulicans out of office and having to deal with this mess. The fact that the national debt is still running on Bushes time clock until tomorrow doesnt seem to phase anyone. The previous administration added 700 billion to that deficit before Bush left office... along with the other "stimulation" packages passed. Obama added to the deficit. At that point, it was do that or nothing.

I would have preferred nothing. They should have been allowed to fail based upon their own poor performances as companies.

Did you know that Obama is from, like, Indonesian or sumfin foreign like that? We are so evolved, because we have the right to spout pure shite, but Obama wants to confiscate your guns. Obama is just like Hitler: watch out for Obama.

And yet you accuse me of projection...

I'm thinking they know this, which is why the Democrats won't do anything except talk about doing something.

Uh, I think you mean "My Little Pony" candidate.

What, like Hasbro hasn't put action-figures into the Oval Office BEFORE?

I realize that this is rather far from what this topic has become, but I felt the need to point this out to those asking why the President doesn't just produce his birth certificate.

I don't know if you recall from high school civics (or government, or whatever it was called) that our justice system is founded on the principal that the accused is innocent until proven guilty. This means that the burden of proof is on the accusor to show, "beyond a shadow of a doubt" that the charges are true. Requiring someone to prove that every frivolous charge against them is false is not only a waste of time and energy but a smear upon the very foundation of our societal rules.

I realize that high school is a more recent memory for me than for others on the forums, but this seems to be a pretty easy-to-remember point.

Side note: Not that it should matter (though I suspect if I don't say it I'll be labeled a flaming liberal or some such nonsense), I'm registered as a Republican and voted for Bush in 04 and McCain in 08.

If you're curious who I voted for before that, view my profile and do the math.

Makes me wonder why Bush did that too.

Nothing to do with Hasbro: there was an episode of Father Ted where Ireland put him and Dougal's terrible pop song (My Lovely Horse) up for Eurovision as they fed up of hosting it every year.
