tazzygirl -> Even death can be politically spun. (9/26/2009 12:01:58 PM)

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jbzG_BlkG2Hfc818EPRRn1bBlP6gD9AT92400

This was reported on a few days ago. Found by a man and his family. Investigations are still ongoing.

What makes this political? Im not sure, but Michelle Malkin sure has put her typical political twist on this case.

http://michellemalkin.com/2009/09/25/i-killed-the-kentucky-census-worker-along-with-every-conservative-in-america/

Its sad that even this can cause politcal spins.

Too bad she couldnt repost the events correctly even in her own blog. The family who found him reported the following...

Well... the word "FED" carved in the guys chest does imply that the killing was somehow politically motivated, don't you think?

Did anyone check the stomach contents? Let's not jump to conclusions here.

Good thinking... maybe the killer was trying to tell us that the victim was FED lots of food before he died.

mnottertail -> RE: Even death can be politically spun. (9/26/2009 12:18:08 PM)

precisely, or he was porking jimbobbillyboy's sty sow and got caught and the murderer is trying to throw the constabulary off the track, by posing it as a right wing whack job murder........

assumptions are dangerous.

Well, if we are going to talk about what Michelle said, that conservatives are being blamed for the death of this man, maybe we should include the article she was writing in response to, maybe???

http://demopedia.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x8668754

We need to absolutely expose Glenn Beck, Michele Bachmann, Michelle Malkin, CNN's Lou Dobbs, Michael Steele, Rush Limbaugh and the legion of others parroting right-wing lies for trumping up this nonsense and getting people to now commit murder in a hideous fashion.

Hmmm.

Or he ran across some backwoods fuck(s) who hates gov't types at all times and during all administrations.  My personal guess would be the meth-folk theory.

During the last census, I was visiting some friends who live way off-grid up in Washington (state) when a census man showed up.  He had been looking for their house for two days (on the clock, presumably) and needed to repeat a bunch of questions they had already answered when they received the long form.  It didn't seem like a very safe sort of job then, either.

MarsBonfire -> RE: Even death can be politically spun. (9/26/2009 7:54:41 PM)

The guy was a school teacher, who worked for the census part time to make ends meet. He had two kids and a wife. Make jokes if you like, but I can't say it does much to make you look good when you do.

It also turns out the word FED was written on his chest with a magic marker. He was found with his wrists tied, and hung from a tree, in classic lynching style.

Frankly, I would not be surprised to find out, when they find him, that the murderer was a regular Glenn Beck listener. But that's just me. We'll find out more as the investigation goes on.

Aylee -> RE: Even death can be politically spun. (9/26/2009 8:24:48 PM)

Maybe it was the ghost of David Carradine that did it?

most "backwoods folks" that I know have no use for government folks of  any  type. And sending in the FBI to investigate will be a real good laugh.

This is why I don't think this was done by some pot grower or similiar sort using the NF for illegal reasons. All this did was bring down the FBI on the area. Maybe a meth cooker would do something dumb like this but even then its a lot of trouble to go to.

What joke, Mars?  That it doesn't seem like a safe job to go asking personal questions of people who have chosen to live way the fuck out in the sticks?

I don't find it surprising at all that you are latching into exactly the mentality that Michelle was addressing in her column, that of using this awful tragedy to further divide and polarize the country, by demonizing anyone who doesn't agree with "your side."  That approach is SO going to backfire in a few years

Ah!  Of course!  That would explain why the key link wasn't one of the three in the OP.  It isn't nearly as funny once we see that people ARE trying to blame this tragic (apparent) murder on conservative voices...[8|]

Lucylastic -> RE: Even death can be politically spun. (9/26/2009 10:51:38 PM)

spin upon spin upon spin and so on... malkin is playing the same game...deflection, denial, allusion theres so much spin on this story Im so dizzy Im about to hurl

Lucy
I'll keep my opinion to myself on this one, there are just  too many variables to it to simply declare one possibility.  Except the chap is still dead. My prayers go out to his family

Although there was that girl who carved "B" into her forehead backwards last year, wasn't there?

I think it was a disgruntled democrat that doesn't want his taxes raised to pay for Obama care.
