Like has been stated before, whether the we think that children should or should not be able to make their own decisions regarding vaccines and their own health, the law says they can. A child can refuse medical treatment regardless of what their parents say. It has actually come into play in the courts on many occasions, a lot in part because of Jehovah's witness's, and their stance on blood transfusions. I would like to say as well, I understand that everybody wants to believe that their children are different, and they think so much better than all the others, but they're still children. I was a teenager 4 years ago, and I like to think that I was smarter than most teenagers. I would've said that I was different than all the rest, and I fought with my parents about it when it came to trying to get them to let me do certain things. But the fact is, I was still susceptible to peer pressure, my hormones were crazy over the opposite sex, and I just acted the fool sometimes because I was a teenager... no matter how special your kids are, they simply cannot act with the same rationality as an adult. If you disagree with this, then just think if you think your child will be able to make better informed decisions in 5 years... I'm not saying all adults are more mature than all kids, but its usually the case. I might not have said this as well as I would like, but its a touchy debate, and I'm interested in it, so excuse the rambling
