Ok- I am now an uncle again. We have no name.

Any ideas?

Everything is coming up no go-

The first UM name-  "Ethen".

No c-section-  but very hard expecting period.

I don't know if I am allowed to post this.  But we really are out of ideas... and the UM showed up last night- 8 lbs -looks just like my maternal grandfather- and I sense that this kid will go on to do interesting things in life. Just a sense...

HELP!

??

(please?)

One older bro.   His name is Ethen Roger.

http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/suitability_of_Gabriel.html      She just now said Gabriel- but I dont like this one.

Some names are a no go due to cousins- but I said at this point- maybe one of those names.

Not that she has to listen to me in any manner- but ANYTHING but Gabriel-  my thoughts- I said avoid anything gender confusing.  On the link above I am looking at how the tease thing goes.

....to make it worse-  the father doesnt like his names- and both grandfathers are -- sort of dated- shock.

We pushed for the first time on the middle name.

OK, pahunkboy, this is going to sound all mystical and stuff, but I know it works . . .

What you do is search through lists of names.  Get a book on forenames, or more than one book, and give it/them a thorough read.  Then you go to the UM - and 'ask him' his name.  He'll tell you.  Look into his face, and he'll pop his name into your head.

For many year male names stuck to the same 12 - for the most part.

I think traditional would be better then something too way out.

But then time moves on I guess---

I would be doubtful that the sex will get mixed up due to the spelling of Gabriel.
Does your sister concentrate on meanings?  Because Ethan, Roger and Gabriel are all warrior/hero names etc...  strong names so I would question if she knew that and then go down that route.

Personally, I love Gabriel.  It's beautiful and strong.

What a nice post.  :-)

Warrior fits.

My late grandfather- one of a kind.  Even tho he and I fought- we always seen eye to eye on family issues.  My grandfather was a humble war hero in WW2.  He never talked about it. After he passed - we found the personal effects.   Stunning.   But that war is a touchy subject for some- so I dont elaborate much on that ...what he did...
Warrior fits.

If I had to name another male UM, I would go with Matteo.

How about Howard Phillip Lovecraft? That has a certain ring to it...

Konner is a name that I like and you do not hear it too often. I'd avoid anything like John, Henry or George, those are old names that have been pretty worn out by now.

Konner Gabriel maybe?

I'm a romance author so I am always looking for names that are unique.  Here are some I've used in some of my books:

Julian, Tristan, Galen, Aiden, Connor, Lucian, Erik, Mathias, Iloni (pronounced ill-oni) and Apollo

Good luck

Most names have female forms. In this case Gabrielle or Gabriel(l)a.

What about Monique / Monica.

Or Hunka?

Have no illusions. Whatever you propose, they will reject it.

Hello Faded-  Hi everyone.

I tried to phone her and it is busy.  She once said Joshua.

I am thinking she is going to be worn out today....  much of the family went in person to the hospital.  Which of course is out of state- so I cant be there this time.  Oh well.  It was nice to talk to her.

It also was sort of- odd- she was born there- my dad passed away there.... so the hospital has a significance in the family....
