The article was about Vidal in general and of the 29 paragraphs in the article the discussion of Obama consisted of five.

Let's also keep in mind he was a fence-sitter who supported Clinton initially then switched his endorsement.

Oh I think he is bitter, I think he is hateful of Republicans and average Americans and I think he is very wrong on what US policy should be...

But...Vidal is a man of the left, which I am not. He's turned on Obama and regrets switching from Mrs. Clinton. AND...He's not alone in the power halls of the American Left.

What does that possibly have to do with anything?

You posted the article and vouched for the credibility of the man.

So either you own it all or nothing.

You can't claim he has remarkable insight in his remarks on Obama and then disavow his other statements.

Sure, glad to. It's kinda tricky, but follow me closely here...

When you read a post by a conservative, you have to realize (pay attention now, here it comes) that he means simply what he says, no more and no less. Not what he doesn't say, not what other people say he said, not words he didn't use, just what he said.

It does kinda take a knack, but you'll be able to get it with practice.

That's about what I think about the statements.
