The fact is that some of the most vocal and prolific left leaning posters here on the P&R Collarme boards (TOS will not allow me to state them by name) insist that the opposition to President Obama is based first and foremost on his race. Or didn't you read the Jimmy Carter thread (among many other threads)? But the real gem here, is if President Obama loses folks like Vidal, how does he ever hope to get re-elected. Will losing such backers embolden Mrs. Clinton or another strong Democrat pull a Ted Kennedy 1980?

What I've also noted is that no one on the right of the aisle has even seen fit to comment on my theory: I do not believe that people disagree with Obama because they are racist. I do believe there is a lot of racism used or tolerated because people disagree with Obama. There is tremendous difference there.

The choice was never between Clinton and Obama; the choice was between Obama and McCain. We're closer to overcoming race in america than we are to overcoming gender.
