http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2009/sep/30/icann-agreement-us --> excerpt -> former Silicon Valley entrepreneur and Washington insider who took over running the organisation in July, said there had been legitimate concerns that some countries were developing alternative internets as a way of routing around American control./snip What do folks think of this? On the one hand it seems like it could backfire.... yet MAYBE the net will be more creative under this new mode. It sounds like we sort of had to do this... but what will the future net look like? Maybe not very much English sites.... ouch. Ideas??
