For those who don't care for that ad, it's really really easy to use a web browser or browser add-on that lets you block ads. I routinely block all animated ads, simply because they annoying, distracting and make pages load more slowly. If anyone hasn't tried Firefox with Flashblock and Adblock, you'll be amazed how much more rapidly pages load and how uncluttered they suddenly seem. Windows users might also wish to consider using a hosts file to block unwanted ads I do think there is a genuine, underlying isssue that that the operators of CM, and all of us here as well, should consider. Is it really a good thing to be prominently displaying ads that show potentially dangerous activities? Of course, that ad was staged, and the videos on the site to which it linked. Still, the presence of the ad could be taken as signalling that CM, and by extension, it's users, regard that activity as acceptable.
