Wait a sec... There were no seagull droppings on me. I do remember riding along a sandbar, which was a few tens of yards offshore from the main beach (man, I was really, really lucky it was low tide and in no danger from rip currents that night) and through the place where they were sleeping, scattering them in all directions, but I did have to ride back through the ocean to get to the main beach. I'm pretty sure I fell into the water many times, deep into the loving fronds of more kelp. No, there were no seagull droppings anywhere to be had when I was sober enough to clean up. I cannot be sure, though, for the lovers who were lying about on the beach as those seagulls flew over them... ... poor things ...
