My God....A voice of reason. I'm very surprised this community would refer me to physiological/psychiatric/professional help and in the same verse advise me to tell my husband! Tell him what....I'm crazy? Tell the councillor what....my husband doesn't like to whip me?
Either there is an over abundance of psychiatric majors here working on a thesis or there is a major hypocrisy developing. The original post was merely seeking validation for sexual preferences that are not of the mainstream. I'm not buying that your sexual preversion is normal but mine requires a stint at crazy camp.

Thank you to everyone who took the post seriously though.....I do appreciate the input. Awesome clarity from most of you.

Wow! What a maestro with words. If I never felt that way before I do now. Boy did you ever bring it home.

Anyway, that probably wasn't your point. I'll leave the advise to those who've been around a lot longer than me, although it appears that's not going well. :)

Good Luck and please, WRITE MORE!

Yes, tell the counsellor exactly that. And tell that same thing to your husband. It's called healthy communication. Apparently you haven't been able to take these two important steps. No, you're not crazy for wanting it (THAT is the validation you can get here). What's "crazy" is not dealing with it. You were given advice about how to deal with it. Maybe you wanted different advice -- would you have preferred that we suggest you cheat on your husband? Sorry, most of us aren't into giving that kind of advice.

No, hypocrisy would be something like cheating on your husband, which I fear is what you want validation for without quite saying it. It isn't the first time someone's brought up the idea on the boards here. It's not even the tenth time, I think, so please forgive me if I've got that totally wrong in your case, but I don't know what other option there would be. Divorce?

Yeah, I suspected that "seeking validation" is what you were into. But I really do strongly suspect that the "sexual preferences not of the mainstream" that you wanted validated was adultery, not BDSM. If that's the case, then yes, my kink is normal and yours is destructive. This may even have been a way to attract someone who would be willing to go behind your husband's back with you. If so, I wish you the worst of luck.

Start looking at the profile descriptions for Dommes here (the ones I'm most familiar with) and it won't take long to see comments like "married men need not apply" or at least that the Domme wants to talk with the wife before getting involved with the husband. There's a lot of experience with this group in dealing with adultery and the common wisdom hereabouts, as far as I've seen is, DON'T.

You posted here to get comments. You got 'em. Don't like 'em? Tough. But they've been sincere, and you might want to consider them with an open mind.
