The picture of the dark object falling was east of Platteville, but they are searching Larimer county roads... 11 and 48 I think it was. So... they simply don't know from the sounds of it.

The thing I don't understand here is if someone took a photo of something falling from the bottom of the balloon (and I assume they have a pretty good idea of where they were when they took it), why they can't find it. They've got to be able to localize it to within a half square mile or so. Christ, as many people as they've got mobilized for this, it seems as though they could just line up shoulder to shoulder and walk that area in 15 minutes. Something here I'm not getting.

I think there is something they aren't saying. That area has a lot of open fields... crops etc, but I would think most the crops were done by now. It would be a very difficult area to search as there are things that could hide him. There are ditches and hills and such. I still just want to believe he is hidding somewhere. But after all this time... if he is, that kid is good at hidding.

Don't be so quick to believe things like this people. I saw the first news story of the day at 4 pm (since I work nights) and thought "he's not in that balloon...he never was." Sure enough, one hour later, he was found in the attic. Anytime there are kids involved where one little kid swears he saw another one get into something he's not supposed to be in....it automatically smells fishy to me.

I thought that too until the picture and the officer saying he saw something fall and with the brother's statment... That picture was pretty scary. lol

He was in the box! He got out before it got too high... from what they are saying now. lol The balloon boy is what they are calling him. Talk about a family story that never dies! I do wonder if cps will be following up.

Stuck at home today with the flu my whole afternoon was consumed with watching this. Thank the good Lord he is okay.

Stupid parents imo. You have a hot air balloon tethered in the backyard with two rambunctious children..yeah, they're not gonna be tempted at all to climb in it. [8\|] From what I've read of the father and the fact that this is not the first time they've had to go searching for this boy, someone needs to be reigned in.

OMG! HOAX! The family is on the Larry King show. The guy in for Larry asked Falcon if he heard them calling him... he said yes... Why didn't you come out. He hesitated and then said. You guys told me it was for a show! The guy doing the show for Larry said he heard what he said... I heard it... and asked something else or for more detail or something that just went out of my head when I was stunned when Falcon said that. His dad was asked to repeat what he said becasue it was hard to hear or something and the dad went on about how he would hide when he was upset or in trouble. He did not repeat what the kid said. The mother's head snapped when he said it too. That kid said... You guys... looked at his parents... that it was for a show! HOAX... it sounds like! Either I am hearing things or that was proof right there that they planned this.
