It was long, but I watched it. What I learned was humans have always been involved in war and humans are capable of suicide terrorism. Actually, I new it before the presentation for a fact. Religion apparently is bad as it contributes to the possibility of a suicide mission.
At the end somebody asked why most suicide missions occur when there is a case of foreign occupation?
This is a key. One person's terrorism is another's patriotism. Suicide bomber is just a weapon and everybody uses what they have. No cruise missiles, too bad, need some bodies. Russians killed 100,000+ Chechens (mostly civilians) in short Chechnya independence war and considering Caucasus vandetta traditions we should  be surprised there were so few terrorist  attacks on Russian territory. Everybody knows the Middle East situation today.
Religion here plays a positive role as it gives people strength and makes resistance possible. It should be realized that without religion the current high civilization would not be in existence. How many followers atheists had during the Dark Ages?

Wiccans do not believe in a single supreme being, they are polytheistic as are Hindus. Buddhists believe in a great teacher, but do not consider him a supreme god.

True, Wiccans do believe in both a God and a Goddess, it is a matter of balance between the male and female energies.

We are killers… it is in us religion or no religion…

Have not enough died for nationalism to suit you?

Have not enough died for jealousy?

my point, which you obviously mnissed, was that a small portion of the population are undermining the age old law that majority rules. so because 18% of the population doesnt believe in religon or God, the ohter 82% shouldnt be allowed to observe their rituals and beliefs. And to correct you the 1stAmendment to the Constition says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibitingt the free exercise thereof; " and the 9trh amendment states"the enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people." Now as I see it that says we can all have our beliefs, that congress cant say we cant have those beliefs, and that congress cant pass any laws restrictingb this right.

I don't disagree with the other points you're making and I'm sure that your interpretation of your religion doesn't involve killing but it seems like following passages such as this could cause people to kill on behalf of God:

The point, is, you see, that you ARE allowed to observe your rituals and beliefs.

Perhaps not any damn time/place you choose, but then, I'm not allowed to do a lot of things any damn time/place I choose, and for good reason.

Go live in a country whose citizens truly experience religious oppression. Come back when you're done and rejoice.



[And incidentally...a representational democracy decided to allow you to do so...and to separate it from state--also for good reason. As for your "age old law that majority rules"--that's again utter nonsense. People did what the King told them--including what religion to practice.]

I guess my missionary trips to chezhoslovakia, Poland and East Berlin to get the word to them doesnt cout? Ive been there, done that, and stood in a buildiong that was soo full of believers there was standing room only and you could barely breath.

I would never think of asking you to change your beliefs. I would, if you wanted to hear it, pass on the word to you. But you have the right to reject my belief as bullshit as much as I have the right to believe what I believe.
