GREAT choices IronBear.

The ninth esp. Like Celtic Harp stuff? I recommend Celtic Harp by the Cheiftains ... and album they did with the Belfast Harp Orchestra.

For me, I took my van to get inspected this morning at a local station and walked the two miles home ... it was Irish Marching songs like O'Donnel Aboo and Whiskey You're the Devil that got me a-goin'

I'm lucky enough to live where one of the last truly independent radio stations exists, so I can be greeted by anything from bluegrass to the latest indie bands to funk to Celtic to blues to zydeco to gospel...all chosen from the volunteer DJs personal collections.

Sort of like college radio, but full power and broader tastes.

I don't listen to music in the mornings, I listen to the Bob & Tom show. Sometimes they have musician/comedians on, like Rodney Carrington or Paul & Storm (formerly of DaVinci's Notebook). Laughing gets me going in the mornings.

Nah... no music at all, just Imus {on TV} and the ubiquitous cast of characters that are part of his show every morning are all I need.

LOL 'mellow'

I never would have described Wagner or Beethoven's 9th symphony as 'mellow'

lol.

Music in the morning... interesting .. nope.. or not usually, unless there's a song i've never heard of titled "symphony in caffeine" lol. COFFEE is what makes mornings worth living.

For many years I would play Kiss of Life by Peter Gabriel. If that didn't get me going I would look in the obituary column for my name.

Yeah, that is a new one on me too. All classical music is not mellow although it is not headbanging stuff either. I guess it falls into your own preferences.

When I go on-line, with a cup of coffee (I usually make time for this in the morning), I usually listen to something a bit mellow. This morning it was Donald Fagen, New Frontier.
