Rowbear13 -> Any older subs out there? (10/18/2009 9:06:28 AM)

I have noticed most of the people on this site are much younger than me, is there a place in this scene for a Mature Dom?

I note that an awful lot of subs want older doms. You're age seems about dead in the sweet spot to me. The whole maturity thing though, that'd rule you out for a lot of folks *laughs*. Your profile though seems a little scattered to me. You talk about a "bedroom slave" which confuses me. Then other parts sound like you also intend to be steering the non bedroom parts of the relationship. At least for me, I couldn't quite figure out what you were looking for when I read your profile.

that would depend on what you define as older. if you have a specific range in mind it would be helpful to utilize the search feature with those parameters. best of luck.

Have you actually done a search specifying an age range?
I did a quick one ages 40-55 and found 13 pages (x 20/page) of women who had all signed in today...

What Jeff said ------+

I'll add that you don't seem very confident.  subs in general are looking for experienced, skillful, confident Doms because they are sometimes afraid to put themselves into the hands of someone that might not know how to handle a sub.  Here's an example of the confusion you are showing:  This thread is titled "Any older subs out there?"  but then you start with an OP that asks: "is there a place in this scene for a Mature Dom?"  Two very different questions..... age does NOT equal maturity and vice versa.

You seem to think that your age some how cancels out your relative inexperience and makes you a Dom.

I'll be 60 in March and have had all ages "under my hand."  I have been in the scene for more than 25 years and am still learning.  Did you go to the clubs mentioned in your profile as a "troll" (somebody looking for a quick pick-up) or did you go there to learn what BDSM is all about and start to make a relationship happen? I'm guessing the former.... You should continue to go to those clubs.... You speak of them in the "been there, done that" tone of voice.

As many new-bies here do, you seem to think cruising thru here will get you a slave to your specs.  (Newbie is the correct term in your case, joined less than a month ago, 4 posts to date.)  ::: sigh ::: Get some non-fiction and READ it and/or READ some of the strings in the archives.  And please stop whining.

Yes.

And from what I hear, there is plenty of room for immature Doms as well.

Thanks for the imput. What about my profile lacks confidence? People offten tell me I have an attitude, and I come off as a hardass even when I don't want to be. What can I do to improve my profile?

My Sir was 50 and I am going on 52.  Now Someone has written to me and He is 52.  Yes, there is a place for mature Doms.  Not everyone wants youngsters.....myself, I couldn't imagine being with Someone my kids' age.

On the other hand, I'm training a newbie 21 years my junior.  He's said that I'm only 3 or 4 years younger than his parents.

Actually I believe there is. On the message boards especially, I've noticed most of the participants are more "mature".

i really should charge a fee for profile critique. it could provide some nice discretionary income. [;)]

it should be noted that age is of little meaning to most unless that is the main criteria they're utilizing in their search. i prefer experience and a host of other credentials. i'm not linus and having someone older doesn't provide a security blanket either. i believe the suggestions for education should be taken into account. i also believe that you should be willing to expend time on your profile and its presentation. after all, why would strangers do the work for you? i catch my own fish and would definitely expect someone dominant to do the same.

As a suggestion....why not include what you have to offer another? I took a lok anfd all I read was I want, I want. Granted it's usually about serving the dom's wants and needs yet the donm still should offer back something to the one serving them. Life still happens outside the realm of BDSM and always will.

I did a search and found 54 submissives within 5 years of your age all from your state of Ohio have signed onto Collarme within the last 16 hours.  I did not check each profile to see if they were owned already or not.  However, your question was whether there are older submissives on this site.  The answer is, YES.

By the way, I'm 58.

DesFIP -> RE: Any older subs out there? (10/18/2009 7:17:56 PM)

You're nearly ten years younger than I am. Spring chicken!

My problem is your refusal to repeat and explain. Listening to what you said doesn't mean she understood the orders. To me, that would be a red flag. You threaten punishment for someone who needs clarification.

I'm betting if you do  a search for sub females within a ten year age range of yours in your area, you'll find tons. Or are you actually only looking for 20 year olds?
